Pros:

Bon emplacement.

Fantastic hotel, exceeded expectations!
Pros:

Fantastic from the very start. I was able to get my room early, which was great since my flight got in very early in the morning and I really appreciated a place to rest for a bit. Every single staff member was super pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. The room was fantastic with a very comfortable seating area, little fridge and coffee area, and a nice big bathroom with great shower/tub, including nice toiletries products. The room was quiet and dark for getting good sleep and we had a good wifi connection. The hotel is well located with easy access to the Centraal station (10 min walk) and to the Jordaan and 9 Streets neighborhood with tons of restaurants right outside the front door.

Cons:

Nothing I wasn't happy with at this property.

Pros:

The location was good, very convenient to get around

Cons:

The bed mattress was very uncomfortable and it had a very steep slope on both sides of the mattress.
You can see the yellow lime scales in the bath tub and the toilet as well.
The electric wiring in the bedroom was poor, there was no independent switch or control and the lighting above the bed was too bright.

Highly recommended
Pros:

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Die Port Van Cleve for 10 days as we explored the Netherlands. The hotel was everything we hoped it would be. From arrival to departure the service was outstanding with each staff member assisting us with our questions or needs. The hotel's location can't be beat! It is an easy walk to the museums, train station, parks, and attractions along with a tram stop immediately across the street that will get you anywhere in the city.

Upon early arrival I was able to safely store my luggage, grab a cup of tea and orient myself and head across the street to explore the Royal Palace and New Church. After which I returned, and our room was ready (well before check in time). I reserved a junior suite and the room was lovely. We were glad to have the extra space for the longer stay and the view from the room was amazing as it looked out at the palace across the street. Room was very clean and well appointed, surprisingly quiet considering the age and location of the hotel. We were greeted by reception staff each time we came and left the hotel, and they provided with excellent recommendations throughout the stay.

We ate breakfast daily in the restaurant. It was a well-appointed buffet with plenty of options from which to choose. The hotel bar has a neat atmosphere--we ate a light meal there and enjoyed talking with staff about the history, art and highlights of the hotel. The hotel restaurant had just reopened following renovations, although we didn't dine for dinner as it was booked out, we heard very positive reviews from diners.

Lovely place to stay will be our go to hotel when we return.
Pros:

Fantastic location and friendly, helpful staff.
The bar was great and the bar staff very knowledgeable and accommodating. Happy to make cocktails not on the menu, best negroni outside of Italy.

We had a suite, it was very spacious and clean.

Cons:

The bed was super high and hard to get into. The sink would not drain and you could only get ice from the bar after 4, so none in the morning.
