Pleasent staff, breakfast very poor value for money.
Pros:

Fair, cold "hot breakfast ". Very slow to replace food in buffet.

Cons:

Provide some drawer space in bedroom.

Pros:

Location is excellent , bus stop 9 is on the right side. A lot of tour pick up in here. Very clean ! Breakfast start 6:30-11

אהבתי את מעקום המלון, ברחוב מרכזי, הייתה חנייה לגי'פ שלנו, צוות הקבלה היה אדיב מאוד.

Comfortable and central base for Reykjavik
Pros:

Super friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. Great value for central location from which to explore Reykjavik. They allowed us to leave our bags for a few hours before we needed to leave. Bus stop is right outside.

Cons:

The room was extremely small, and the soundproofing was very poor. The window faced the parking lot, where people were constantly talking and smoking. The room temperature could not be adjusted, and despite it being summer, the underfloor heating made the room unbearably hot. The placement of the power outlets was also extremely impractical.
The front desk staff were extremely rude, mean, and unprofessional. The whole team gave the impression of being a group of temporary workers thrown together without any relevant hospitality experience or proper professional training.
When we arrived to check in, a male staff member named EDU*RDO saw us walk in, immediately gave us a huge eye roll, and then looked back down to his computer. After a while, he finally looked up and forced a fake smile. He then checked us in with an extremely condescending and impatient attitude, speaking so quietly that he was barely audible. There was no welcome, no introduction, and no explanation whatsoever about the hotel or our stay.
Even more shockingly, without any explanation, he simply took my credit card and manually wrote down my credit card information. When I asked him to explain the legitimacy and necessity of recording my card details in this way, he said it was because they did not have my credit card information. However, we had booked through Booking.com and had already provided Booking.com with all the necessary information. If a hotel requires a credit card guarantee, the normal practice at a professionally operated hotel is to place a pre-authorization or guarantee through a POS terminal, not for an employee to simply take a guest’s physical credit card and personally record the card information. I could see absolutely no reasonable justification for what he did.
When I questioned this, EDU*RDO showed no professionalism whatsoever.

Cozy, clean, and great location.
Pros:

We arrived sooner than expected and were allowed to check in early. The staff were very friendly. Rooms were small but efficient and cozy. Location was great!

Cons:

We booked a few weeks in advance and prices were extremely high. Prices dropped a couple of days before the trip.

Pros:

Excellent location, within 5 minute walk from bus stop #9. Comfortable, clean, awesome balcony facing the Main street.

Cons:

Staff act snooty. They act condescending when you speak with them and they often interrupt their transaction with you to speak with each other. Don’t take our USD if you don’t like Americans. Way overpriced!
