I don't know what to say but all i know is Red Roof shouldn't do that.

Cons:

I reserved a room with two beds under my card. When I arrived around 2:30 a.m. after driving over 7 hours from the Bay Area, the front desk informed me that my room had been canceled because I “didn’t answer their call.” I never received any call, voicemail, or email from Red Roof regarding check‑in or cancellation.

Because of this unexpected cancellation, my family and I were left without a place to stay in the middle of the night. Every hotel we checked online only allowed check‑in at 3 p.m., which meant the apps were essentially expecting us to sleep in our car after a long drive.

Thankfully, my daughter called Motel 6 Santa Ana, and I truly want to praise them. Their staff told us they had a walk‑in room available. They were extremely welcoming and immediately helped us. I truly appreciate Motel 6 for not leaving us stranded the way Red Roof did.

My reservation was cancelled without telling me... and I suppose my room given away: disappointing.
Cons:

I have been there before and it was fine for the price. But this time I had a reservation, and came late in the evening, but was told that my reservation had been cancelled. I looked if i had received some kind of notification of the cancellation but nothing. I then asked if there was another room ...and it was booked out. I suppose that as I came so late they just decided to give the room to someone else. It was quite a frustrating experience as I had been driving all day from San Francisco and here it was just before midnight trying to find another hotel... I am giving a rating of "4" so as not to make the whole hotel seem horrible, as I said in the past it was ok, but this time it was very frustrating and not acceptable.

Pros:

it was local to a lot of places, easily able to find food and shops.

Cons:

It was disgusting. Dirt everywhere, dust everywhere, hair in the shower that was not mine prior to us arriving. Sheets look disgusting, stripped them from our beds, shower leaked over night. Holes in walls.
Had to buy my own sanitizer wipes to feel mildly cleaner about staying there.

Not what I expected
Pros:

I only liked the location

Cons:

To start off, as soon as I opened the door a strong disgusting smell came out. The beds were NOT queen size. They were full but the staff insisted they were queen. The blow dryer didn't work or the lamp. There was so much noise around in the evenings from other guests and the street making it hard to sleep. I was very disappointed.
