I will stay at The Eliot every time I'm in Boston. Maybe most importantly?...the staff are fantastic across the board.
the location and room was spacious
The hotel is aged and room lighting was a bit dark
Excellent staff - easily changed our room when we asked for one with a better view (they had accommodated our initial request for a high room but we preferred the alternative they then suggested). Fabulous room with a lovely sitting area. Very comfortable and really well cleaned. High quality bed linen. Great location as you can walk anywhere.
We didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on this.
Atmosphere and staff
Good team and location
Air handling unit in the room made some loud noises at night. Didn't happen on my previous stays so I reported it to reception, no big deal unless uninterrupted sleep is critical.
Fantastic experience at the Eliot. My wife and I have never been here before, but we’re taken care of as if we knew everyone for years. We loved every moment there. Beautiful room at a great value. We will definitely return.
Excellent staff!! Good amenities, immediate assistance with a problem.
Small but lovely bathroom with everything I needed in it.
The location was very accessible and convenient.
There were several rooms in the middle of construction near our room and it was so dusty and dirty. They should have at least informed us about it. The first night our room wasn’t properly cleaned and set up!
The Eliot was a wonderful hotel for a February Boston weekend. The location is close to shop and restaurants, yet it is in a beautiful neighborhood. The service was discreet, yet very attentive. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The Eliot will become our new Boston hotel.
We only and always stay at the Eliot (if not sold out) when in Boston- found it over 20 years ago and never looked back. The location is perfect- close to Logan and in the middle of a great walking/shopping area (a block from Newbury St, across street from a T station, and on beautiful Comm Ave). You feel like you’re in an old Paris boutique hotel - the decor, high ceilings, small elevators, and big brass room keys are quaint and marvelous touches. Staff is so friendly, and many have been there for years, which is a good sign. Suites are incredibly affordable. Uni is a fantastic restaurant/bar.
I always feel at home when I stay at The Eliot. The service is unparalleled, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the location is unbeatable, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! Every time I visit Boston, I always request to stay here and very much look forward to my next visit. I also need to note that not only is the hotel super clean, but also beautifully decorated and has a stellar art collection.
PS- as an added bonus, the hotel has a delicious Japanese restaurant that connects to the lobby.
We cannot say enough about our stay at the Eliot. The room was beautiful and exactly what we needed to be able to relax and also have space to work when needed. The staff was exceptional, especially the doorman Tarvis. Everytime we saw him he was more than polite, welcoming and friendly. He truly made our stay better, remembering us everytime we saw him and talking to us about what we were up to. We will defintely be back and hope to see Tarvis there when we do!
