Brilliant stay - expensive beers.
Pros:

Very clean and brilliant staff - super polite guys 👌🏻
Celia on the front desk is so lovely - absolute legend and a massive asset to the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for this lady.

Cons:

Nothing not to like. Location is a bit far out but if you don’t mind a short 10/15 minute trip into city centre, it’s a good location.

Nice hotel with good breakfast, needs to brush up on room maintenance.
Pros:

Breakfast was great. Plenty of it and constantly topped up freshly cooked good quality. Good coffee.
Good sized room plenty of space and comfortable bed. And peaceful.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean common areas.
Easy reach of city centre by car bus and Evehicles. There is no pedestrian footpath out of the property which is troublesome.

Cons:

There was an issue with the bathroom.
In the first instance we noted the vent for the extractor over the sink was full a lot of dust and dirt and we weren't sure the extractor was working. The seal around the base of the toilet had been poorly applied.
The decorative woodwork outside the window was rotten and falling apart.
On the second day separately had showers and the bath did not drain away either time. After we had both had a shower the bath was three quarters full of tepid water that hadn't completely drained away by the time we left an hour later.
Most worryingly there were clumps of dark hair floating around in the water. We are both fair/grey.
We reported the vent issue the first day and nothing was done.
We reported the bath the next day. This was addressed whilst we were out. As was the vent which we reported again. We were offered a different room but as we were checking out next day couldn't see the point of packing up to unpack and repack.
We didn't use the shower again.
And I can never understand why we have to pay extra for parking in the hotel car park. I understand registering the number to prevent misuse but we had already paid almost £200 per night for bed and breakfast!!

Helpful bar and restaurant staff

Cons:

Incredibly uncomfortable bed, when mentioned at reception, the receptionist couldn't care less. Intermittent pressure in the shower ranging from dripping to acceptable, once again, reception couldn't care less.

Brilliant staff!
Pros:

Loved the location, really excellent. Loved the staff, they were exceptional. We brought our dog with us and she was treated like royalty!

The breakfast was 10 out of 10. Absolutely delicious.

Cons:

Our room wasn't serviced after our first night, despite us hanging the sign on the door. Its such a first world problem, but I suppose when you pay that money per night, these are things you look forward to whilst staying at a hotel.
