Amazing Hotel Stay with excellent disabled facilities.
Pros:

From we booked this disabled friendly room some months ago until our arrival today things could not have gone more smoothly. It is a short taxi drive from the airport. It is also a short taxi drive to the Port to pick up the Queen Anne ship. The Gentleman at Reception in the Hotel was very good and helpful. We asked for extra pillows and water everything was delivered to the room by pleasant lovely staff. Dinner in the restaurant was a treat. From the moment I asked to book a table the staff were amazing. Virojos was our Server. He recommended the Chef’s Fish Pie. It was delicious. My Husband had beautiful fish and chips all served very quickly. We had great craic with Virojos re our Cruise starting tomorrow. Virojos had been employed on many of the cruise ships we sailed on in the past. We reminisced about the fabulous journeys we had all been on around it world. What a pleasant young man. The disabled faculties in the room we are in, are excellent. It can be very difficult to get suitable well planned disabled facilities. Particularly a disabled shower with no steps into it or, worse still a shower in the middle of a bath!!! They are death traps. Hilton Hotels are excellent in providing a small number of disabled friendly rooms in most of their hotels. . We hope to return to this room following our cruise next Sunday. Thank-you to everyone for our welcome and all your help. I am sure breakfast will be as good in the morning. We will return.

Frustrating won’t stay here again
Pros:

Beautiful outside

Cons:

Staff didn’t know what they were doing except 1 person a desk
No one knew how to handle the fact they stay was paid to booking.com
They charged my credit card after I had already paid booking .com
The resterant had no idea how to handle the fact we had the dinner and breakfast included in our room package and charged my credit card for the meals. Had to keep going back to desk to fix the issues
Thank you to Holly who FINALLY fixed the problems

Terrible customer service
Pros:

Check in was an absolute joke, 1st thing said to me after I gave my name was "your card has been declined, do you have another" when I explained that it was a corporate booking, there was no apology just a piece of paper handed over and told to sign. When he gave me the key, I had to ask where my room was and how to get there because he couldn't be bothered telling me, also couldn't be bothered telling me the times of evening meal and breakfast as I had to ask for those also, he didn't tell me I had to go back to reception to be able to use the fitness suite either, only found out when I tried to get in there. Room was OK, shower on the other hand was pathetic! Virtually zero water pressure, not what you would expect from Hilton.
Evening meal was OK nothing special but very expensive, I ate out the next evening.
Just before check out a note was slipped under my door asking to speak to reception before leaving, on arrival at the desk I was greeted by the receptionist saying " ah so you are my problem child" very professional Hilton!!! All I can say it was lucky I had to get into work, otherwise we would still be waiting for his manager to turn up and start handing out apologies. Again apparently an issue with the booking, explained again it was a corporate booking!! All in all an OK hotel but the reception staff need to learn how to speak to guests correctly and with respect. I can say with 100% certainty I will not use this hotel again and will ensure that no one from my company does either.

Not on par with other Doubletrees
Pros:

Waited 20 minutes at reception which a older couple checked in for their cruise and parking package, during this time a few members staff went to another desk at reception and didn't even look up before walking away. When it was our turn we there was no "sorry to keep you waiting" just a curt "how can I help" checked in were given 3 bottles of luke warm water, I asked about cookies and was told "head office doesn't do them anymore" (which is not true)

Our room was right next to the lifts and the doors leading to the corridors (202) it was ok, but dated and grubby - the main issue was the camp bed for the 3 person (child) looked like it would collapse at any moment. Hairdryer didn't work (only found this out at 1030pm)

Bar staff were nice, prices high - 2 x J20 and 1 x half lager £13.25 food menu wasn't great.

Chilworth Arms 1 mile down the road (gastrointestinal) was incredible. Adult and child menu was fantastic. One of the best roast dinners I've ever had. Gorgeous pub and gardens - highly recommend.

Breakfast was great, breakfast staff were wonderful. Honestly all of them so helpful.

I wouldn't return to this hotel it was tired, and not anywhere near the level of other doubletrees we have stayed in.

That being said it was an easy 19 min drive to Paultons Park.

Great stay, except for shower.
Pros:

Staff were excellent, room was clean and comfortable. Room was a very good size and well furnished.

Cons:

Shower pressure was incredibly low. It was difficult to feel like I had rinsed all the soap off. And intermittently became even lower. If this was better, it would have been a 10/10 stay.

Excellent stay - great for families!
Pros:

We just visited this hotel for a short overnight stay, we have to praise all of the staff very highly as they were just so friendly and kind!
We have a 3 year old son and without asking we were given a printed booklet of pages for him to colour in with crayons while we were sat in the kids corner where there were little toys also provided to play with. He was so happy - it was a lovely gesture and so nice for us to feel welcomed with a young child.

The room was very clean and spacious. Very comfy pillows and beds.
It was a particularly busy Saturday night that we stayed but it had a nice atmosphere in the lounge/bar area. We didn’t hear any noise overnight despite it being busy, which we commented on in the morning - it was just a lovely night sleep for us all.

The breakfast was really lovely - had everything we wanted/needed. The staff were working so hard to keep it all stocked up and clear plates efficiently - all with smiles on their faces too. We just had a really nice trip and want the staff to get recognition!

Distinctly average
Pros:

Off the M27 with nothing of note around it, I was surprised I still had to pay £7.50 to park. The hotel is tired, dark and in need of a refresh. The check in was underwhelming, hotel phones not working and if you tried to message on the Hilton app the response was very slow or not at all. The staff were friendly, Luke in the bar in particular and asset to the hotel. The rooms are ok. It’s not particularly good value for money. The bar is very expensive for an out of town Hilton. The food was ok. Would I stay again, unlikely unless I had to.

A positive experience made even better by some staff.
Pros:

I was on an overnight business trip and needed accommodation close to my meeting locations. The DoubleTree was perfectly situated and met all my requirements. The rates were reasonable, and the room as expected for a Holton hotel, spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. Overall, I could not fault the hotel.

What really stood out, however, was the quality of the customer service, particularly from two members of staff.

Daniel, the barman, was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and full of energy. He provided outstanding customer service and helped create a very positive atmosphere despite working a long shift.

I would also like to mention Chavi, the new Operations Manager. Despite only being in the role for two days and it was his birthday :) , he was incredibly helpful, took the time to explain various processes to me, demonstrated a clear depth of knowledge in the sector and professionalism. He will be a real asset to the Hotel!

Good stay, great service
Pros:

The stay was excellent, everything you could want from a base when visiting the park with your family. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, and a great bar and dining area.

What truly made our visit stand out was the exceptional service from Claire. You couldn’t find anyone more cheerful or genuinely friendly. She made time for us throughout our stay, nothing was ever too much trouble, and she balanced looking after guests with her work. She made everyone feel welcome.

Claire was outstanding.

Good value and comfortable
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay here as a family of three. They set up a seperate bed for my son, free of charge which was comfortable. It was around a 12 minute drive from the city centre. The restaurant was really nice, we enjoyed the buffet breakfast and Claire showed us round the buffet and let us choose where we wanted to sit. She was very accommodating, thank you so much Claire!
Good atmosphere.
Good value for money.
The hotel was clean.
Noise levels were good, I was able to fall asleep instantly.
Overall, a great, comfortable stay. Thanks to the whole team.

A great hotel in Southampton...and with air conditioning!
Pros:

The DoubleTree Southampton is a gem of a hotel. Located in a quiet wooded area about 15 minutes from downtown, it is accessible by Uber or taxi. I arrived before the published check-in time due to an early morning international flight, and I was greeted by Celia, with a huge smile. She had me meet with the manager who was able to get me checked in early so I could rest.

Knowing nothing about the area (I was there to go on a cruise), Celia provided me with tips and suggestions from tourist sites to places to eat. I should note that I ate in the hotel restaurant mostly and that the food and bar service was quite good. A good tip that she gave me was that if you are going out on a cruise; schedule a taxi the previous night so that you have a confirmed pick up. It is difficult to get an Uber on cruise switch over days.

I should mention that given the summer heat this year in the UK; it was great to have a hotel with air conditioning. This will be my go-to hotel for future Southampton cruises.

Wedding reception review
Pros:

We had an amazing experience at the Hilton for the wedding on Friday. The venue was spotless, the bar was well organised, and the service was fantastic all evening.

A special thank you to Daniel, Viro, Sunny, Edwin and Luke behind the bar, they were all friendly, efficient and made sure everyone was looked after. Daniel especially went above and beyond with his great sense of humour and energy. We even ended up having a little dance together by the bar, which made the evening even more memorable!

Thank you all for helping make such a brilliant night. You were all a credit to the Hilton!
