Very overrated, overpriced and certainly didn't uphold the standards from what this hotel used to be

The location and parking availability are good.

Cons:

Every time I used the shower, I had to use all the towels in the bathroom to prevent flooding. I stayed for 8 days and during that time surfaces and floor where not cleaned. The bathrooms are very outdated.
Walked in my room on day 3 with the window wide open and temperature in the room at 15C. Explanation of the evening staff was dismissive and showed no concern about safety.

The heater in the room, the overall cleanliness, the kindness of the cleaning lady, the size of the room was ok.

The location: too far away to take tram or bus, the bathroom is very uncomfortable if you have little kids, the breakfast was very basic for such expensive hotel, communication was bad: they never told us that breakfast was going to be later the morning we had to check out of the hotel to go to the airport and they wouldn't even let my 4 year old child eat something before leaving. They didn't bother to offer us some bread or anything else to take away. So there was no empathy at all. The website says that on weekends breakfast is later in the morning, but that day wasn't weekend, it was Thursday. The elevator broke down several times, check in staff gave us a wrong room number, so we had to go up and down several times. Room service and restaurant never answered the phone. The staff was not helpful at all.

Very disappointed
Cons:

Hello! I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the room I received. I booked this room several weeks in advance and it did not match the description or the expectations created at the time of booking.

The balcony is not covered. I paid extra specifically for a covered balcony and this detail was essential for me. In addition, the room did not have proper ventilation, which made the stay very uncomfortable.

There was also no accessible rooftop or terrace area where we could sit and relax. When I reported these issues, the only solution offered was to move us the next day to another room with separate beds. This was not a real solution, as I was on vacation with my husband and we booked a double room for a reason.

Another issue is the television placement. It cannot be watched comfortably from the bed. I had to turn to the side, which is inconvenient and impractical for two people.

Overall, this experience was very disappointing. I paid for a balcony room and ended up in a standard room without a balcony. For this reason, I expect a refund at least for the difference between the balcony room and the standard room without a balcony.

Situado num bairro muito bonito e sossegado, ao mesmo tempo perto de vários locais de interesse de tram, sendo que fica apenas a cerca de 500/700m das paragens de tram, sendo este o melhor transporte para viajar em Amesterdão, com grande frequência de passagem. Staff do hotel muito simpático, bom pequeno almoço, apesar de não muito variado. Hotel bastante bonito e confortável!

I liked how spacious the room was and it was very clean and the outside area was lovely aswell.

Cons:

The balcony was very dirty. I had no room cleaning selected and everyday someone tried to enter the room. The room also had that a bathroom and slippers would be included- they weren't. We weren't comfortable asking reception for them as the receptionist made us feel kinda judged for even asking them to hold onto our luggage.
