It was fine for a short stay but I wouldn’t stay longer than 3 nights.
Pros:

The location was the best part of the hotel.

Cons:

They tried to nickel and dime you with everything. When we arrived early, our room was not ready, but if we were to upgrade the room, they have one ready. There was also no complimentary late check out of any kind. If you need late check out, it is subject to availability the day of and it is $25 an hour plus tax.

It was very good, the beach is so close just cross street.

Not much. I set my expectations on my previous experience visiting the REAL OUTRIGGER Hotel years ago. It appears Outrigger had decided to bastardize its name by selling it and slapping it on adjacent hotels and deceive the public that they are staying at an "Outrigger" resort. Nothing can be further from the truth. This faux "Outrigger" and its illegitimate siblings sprinkled on the Waikiki streets is merely a Howard Johnsons wearing a lei.

I will stay here again for sure!!
Pros:

I stay here often - was an Aston property back in the day (1985) lol.....and I stay loyal! Close to everything. Beach right across the street. Great restaurants super close. Like having to go up off the main walk way to get into the hotel. Views are always great from outside areas and rooms! :*)

Cons:

That non hotel guests came for happy hour :( Maybe choose to only have happy hour for non guests on just one day, not everyday. There is limited seating, so this encroaches on paying guests ability to find seating. Maybe reconfigure in pool area and put a counter type bar along outside wall with stool to use as additional seating & will have a view. :)

Ideal accommodation for our first visit to Honolulu.
Pros:

Excellent location close to Waikiki Beach access. A very comfortable spacious room with balcony views of the ocean and Kalākaua Avenue.

Great hotel, good location and price but soured by poor customer service

Cons:

The staff in the aroma cafe were less than ordinary, their service was horrible. I have never seen three more miserable people working in one place.. they advertised Happy hour and it was a bit of a joke. They all had their bottom lips out like it was the worst day of their life.. 3 days in a row. It really soured the experience of sitting around the pool.
We also had no body soap in the shower in our room, we advised the room attendant. It didn't get topped up for over 24 hours?

The location was great

Cons:

They didn't have any parking. We had to park at a different location than the hotel. The parking structure was a pain to find and we got lost. We didn't get room service. They overbooked the room we reserved and we got moved from a king bed to two full size beds. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable; we had a hard time falling asleep.
