Pros:

Es ist ein sehr nettes, in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel das liebevoll und stylisch gestaltet wurde mit Innengarten und Fischteich. Jeden Abend werden Falken angezündet. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kaffee und Wasser zur freien Entnahme.

Cons:

Es gibt leider keinen Lift und das Wasser könnte etwas wärmer sein...

Very pleasant stay.
Pros:

The location provided access to walking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They made decaf coffee for us every day.

Cons:

We were unhappy with the television service. Hotel provided streaming only. Wanted to access local channels and major networks.

Friendly staff and great facilities
Pros:

Perfect location. Lovely view, beautiful facilities. The staff was also very friendly. We were staying for a few days and I asked after the 1st night if they had another room with a firmer mattress, they quickly offered a different room, with a larger bed and an even better view. That room was perfect. We were also able to use the paddle boards and saw many turtles, right in front of the hotel.
We will definitely come back!

Cons:

Mattresses are quite soft but that's the only negative thing I can say about this hotel.

Pros:

Great location and very welcoming staff. Loved the Kombucha welcome drink and all the different amenities. Close to everything including the fabulous black sand beach.

Like a lovely voyage to old Hawaii
Pros:

It is a charming little hotel. It has a beautiful koi pond a nice pool and lovely gardens. It sits inside the breakwater and the park and bay nearby are charming.
The staff are simply exceptional. They are nice and friendly and legitimately kind. They also let me cancel the last day of our stay free of charge because I booked with them directly. This is not a fancy hotel but it’s nice and comfortable.

Can't wait to return to this friendly hotel!
Pros:

This gem of a hotel is not to be missed! Beautifully located on the water, with an accommodating staff and impeccable service, this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. Cozy well appointed rooms, with great "extras" like 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby, and free bike and paddle board rental. Cultural activities were also offered, and we were surprised at how enjoyable and educational they were. The best part of this hotel, however, was the caring attitude of the staff. From the Front Desk to Housekeeping, everyone clearly showed their commitment to making sure their guests had a great stay. You can stay at a big fancy resort hotel and be just a number, or come to SCP Hilo and feel like family!

Pros:

I really recommend SCP hotel, here are a few pionts why:
- it is a new hotel, very clean, with many amenities in the rooms like hair dryer, steem iron, fridge, etc.,
- the hotel has a very nice and cosy athmosphere, reception has very nice interior, there is free tea and coffee available 24/7, filtered water dispenser, a small shop with craft made souvenirs, and even a tv with a life view on the volcano,
- there are available bikes and SUP boards for free,
- there is very cosy swimming pool with all the amenities, very clean with nice surrounding,
- hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful with smile on their faces :)
- you can feel relxing athmosphere there with a focus on mindfulness - there are aromatherapy amenities available in the rooms and the relxing music.
