The hotel is beautifully designed with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and vibe.
The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Cons:

The noise was a bit of an issue for us. When booking, we overlooked the fact that the property sits right next to the Hilo Airport. While airplane noise stopped overnight, incoming planes are well heard during the day.
Additionally, the Big Island's resident Coqui frogs are very active on the grounds. A few of them were around our room which was located next to the pool, and their distinctive loud calls lasted into late evening.

Okay for a short stay
Pros:

The hotel is in a good location, close to the water. The pool area is great—all the common areas were nice. The staff were very accommodating, but the service can't make up for the lack of updated hardware.

Cons:

The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were completely flat. Not recommended for a family if two adults are sharing one bed, it was just too small. We booked for three people, but there were only two towels provided. No lift, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. There was no mention of an additional resort fee of $25 per night on booking, had to pay extra when we got there.

Picture perfect experience at Hilo Hotel
Pros:

This hotel exceeded all expections! As a first time traveler to Big Island, I was excited to feel the energy of the island, and SCP Hilo Hotel has set the stage for just that. The establishment is clean, expertly decorated, and very welcoming ! They keep in close communication with guests via text message reminders about check in and events/ activities happening on premise. Shoutout to Julia for helping organize the most wonderful complimentary yoga as part of Hilo Hotel’s group activities. Our yoga instructor Tess expertly brought us through various poses poolside. It was the perfect way to start our day! My friend and I even debated extending our stay because we’re loving our experience so much. We’re here for another day and are excited to use the complimentary paddle boards and bikes on premise. Highly recommend this hotel for all staying in Hilo. 100/10

Agréable mais chambre à rafraîchir.
Pros:

La décoration extérieure et l’accueil. Le personnel est très aimable.

Cons:

La climatisation bruyante, la chambre est sombre sans fenêtre sur l’extérieur. Un rafraîchissement de la chambre serait bienvenu.

Nem várt költségek, de viszonylag szép helyen.
Pros:

Közel van a reptérhez, buszmegállótól 10 percre van. A személyzet viszonylag kedvesek és segítőkészek.

Cons:

Egy világos szobát foglaltunk a nászutunk egy állomásaként fizettünk ki, de érkezéskor sötét szobát kaptunk, amin egy börtönablakhoz hasonlító kisablakon tudott csak beszűrődni a fény. Nem várt költségek. Nagyon hangos volt a szemközti utcán motor és autózaj.
