Rarely write reviews, but this is an exception. We came for an annual family event. Unfortunately for us and a number of other family members the “smell” in the rooms was overpowering. A musty/moldy smell. We had people in different areas of the resort, so it is pervasive throughout. We will not return. It’s too bad as I think the resort has potential.
We stayed late July and found cockroaches two nights in a row! Do not recommend to stay there at all! See photos and avoid this hotel!
Service in the restaurant is great though.
We had a fantastic stay at the Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, Ryan, the night manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly made a difference and added a personal touch to our experience.
The resort itself is beautiful. The landscaping is absolutely stunning and creates a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. Our one-bedroom suite was comfortable, clean, quiet, and offered plenty of privacy, making it easy to unwind and enjoy our stay.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the food and beverages. The bar served delicious drinks, and breakfast was excellent with flavorful, well-prepared options to start the day.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend the Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and comfortable accommodations. We look forward to returning!
The Hacienda was amazing. The staff for all very engaging and friendly. It was great customer service. They had great amenities. It is a wonderful place to go to. Will definitely come back.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I stayed here for about a week and had a great experience. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive throughout my stay. I found the accommodations to be very comfortable, and the location was excellent with easy access to everything I needed.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Always lovely. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Delicious meal at Bob’s. Our waiter, Bruno, helped us select the perfect meal.
The Omni Tucson National is one of the finest resorts I have ever experienced. The property itself is beautiful. Pristine lobby, with a variety of restaurants and bars to suit our tastes. The pool was delightful and the Catalina golf course was terrific. Our guest room was very clean and cozy, but felt just rustic enough where we could feel right at home. Linens were luxurious and the shower was the perfect combination of just the right lighting, water pressure and shelves for your things. Double vanity sinks, walk-in closet, balcony with a mountain and golf course view all added to the experience.
But the main reason this property gets 5 out of 5 stars is the staff. From Ryan and the team at check in to Justin at the valet desk upon departure, the Omni Tucson National staff offered genuine, attentive service every step of the way.
Nate and Sam at Legends Bar were not only great bartenders, but they rolled out the red carpet and made us feel like family. Shared insightful information about Tucson and its attractions, along with the ins and outs of the National property. They made some of the best craft cocktails we’ve had at a hotel bar. Friendly but not in an intrusive way, and hilarious. Their humor added to the conversation. The food at Legends was incredible. Had a southwestern chicken entree and Oreo shake for dessert. Huge thumbs up. 5 out of 5 bar experience with these two pros and their manager Liz.
The staff at the golf course got me out at 8:20am with about 20 minutes notice. Letting me play as a single without forcing me to pair up with strangers is almost unheard of at a luxury golf resort, but they made it happen with no problem. The starter even bumped me ahead of a foursome to ensure fast play so I wasn’t stuck. Spectacular course, the Catalina course, which has hosted its share of PGA and Champions Tour events.
The staff at the pool bar (Sweetwater), the coffee shop (Terra Cotta), and the hotel bar (Peak) were also extremely friendly and helpful. I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about this resort. It was well into the 110 degree range both days, but the staff handled themselves as if it were 70 out.
Front desk staff went over all our charges and actually pointed out to us that we didn’t have a resort credit applied properly. We wouldn’t have noticed, so they fact that their own front desk team would do that speaks highly to their character.
Finally, Justin at the front entrance insisted on helping us load our luggage out. Not only that, but he went to retrieve our car out of the self-parking lot. It was the hottest day of the summer so far, and he was running all over the place. Justin wanted to know about how our stay was and where we were coming in from. Not in a “hi how are you?” typical small talk way, but he actually wanted to know about these things. He offered so much valuable information about Tucson and the resort and its history that Justin should be an ambassador or GM. Went so above and beyond what we’ve come to expect from a valet or greeter. Omni is lucky to have him, honestly.
No stone was left unturned at this resort and the team on this property left us looking forward to our next visit! If you have a trip to Tucson, do yourself a favor and stay here!
Wheelchair user. Overall 8/10. Stayed in one of the casitas. Definitely worth the stay over 4th of July weekend. Pros: Landscaping was beautiful, atmosphere was very relaxing. Quiet at night with no issues from surrounding guests. Very clean both in the resort and in the outside areas. Staff definitely elevated the experience. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, any issues are really quickly resolved and you feel very welcomed. Great food at the Desert Farmer and Bob’s. Also easy to go out into Tucson for food and shopping nearby. The pools are spacious and not too crowded with a nice bar. Spa was a very nice environment. Didn’t go golfing, but the golf course was pretty. A ton of really cool birds and lizards are common to see if you’re a wildlife lover. Cons: If you have a wheelchair larger than the ProBasics K1 Standard, you’ll probably have a hard time getting around. There were a few small and/or bumpy spaces that I couldn’t get through without assistance. The carpet is very difficult with full-rubber tires. Understandable because it’s a desert and we weren’t in the main building of rooms, but we did have two cockroaches in our room one night. Again, very clean, so they probably just came when the door was open for housekeeping, but that was really the only big negative experience. Anyone under 18 can only get their nails done at the spa, which isn’t super clear on the website, so don’t plan on that if you have a teenager. Good experience for the price and would definitely stay again if in Tucson.
This was too quick of a getaway with just one night- the grounds were beautiful
The entire staff was very kind and welcoming. They made sure we were taken care of from beginning to end. Food at Bob’s was excellent! Our kids felt right at home because the atmosphere is extremely kid friendly! I would recommend Omni to anyone!!
Not all OMNI resorts made the same. Location is not bad
Service. I was being ignored with all my requests. Nobody showed us to the room. Took us 20 min driving around to find it. Electricity did not work on arrival. Contacting them over email did not work had to drive to the front desk to get an engineer to fix it. They try to get out of cleaning our room. Texted us to opt out of it for charity. After cleaning they left folded rug in bathroom remaining folded. Only towels were replaced. They gave us 2 creamers for 3 people. When I asked for more. Front desk lied they will be there only in 20 min when he knew well there is nobody on yet to help me. When I drove inAGAIN to get the creamer. He handed me coffee tickets but was dismissive rather than apologetic. It was supposed to be luxurious end to our road trip. But it was the worst out of 6
I would highlight that customer service is outstanding, the property is beautiful and clean. We were greeted initially by Loyalty Ambassador Myken who welcomed us via email and gathered stay information to help with our needs. Check-in was a pleasure and the bell staff extremely helpful with getting around the large resort. Our casita was spotless and well appointed with hairdryer, in-room safe, iron and standard toiletries plus extra pillows and plenty of towels. The grounds were beautifully manicured with nice walking paths. On site dining was delicious with varied menus and the service at each was excellent. Wonderful stay, would definitely recommend!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Tucson Omni in May. We had two events to celebrate, my wife's birthday and our daughter's graduation. Communication I'd like to call out as exceptional. In the days and weeks leading up to our stay, Myken Dahlen reached out numerous times to ensure we were all set. She was able to confirm a one-tier upgrade prior to our arrival through the Amex program we booked with. Upon arrival, she met us in the lobby to welcome us to the property and tell us about the amenities. Throughout our stay, numerous staff members reached out to make sure we were happy.
When we made it to our room, we found some very nice gifts for my wife's birthday, to include a unique bottle of wine I had mentioned as one of her favorites and some other thoughtful presents. Service and care were top notch from this team, who frequently went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a pleasurable stay.
That night we had our best meal of the stay at Bob's steakhouse. Food and drink were exceptional, albeit expensive, though I have to admit it wasn't quite on par with the original Bob's in Dallas. We ate breakfast every day at one of the other onsite restaurants, and we ate at the pool a couple of days. These meals were good but nothing spectacular.
Speaking of the pool, it was nice, with a towel attendant and full service bar and plenty of umbrellas for shade, as desired. Most days were pretty relaxing, but there were a couple that were more of a party vibe. If you're looking for more of a chill atmosphere, there's a second pool near the tennis/ pickleball courts that's usually less populated and more family friendly. The front desk also has pickleball paddles to borrow if you want to get a workout in. The main building also has a better-than-most fitness room. And, while I didn't take advantage of it, the golf course looked well-maintained and pretty forgiving, from the holes I could see.
Overall, service and care were 10/10, and facilities and food were 9/10. Well done, Omni. We'll be back.
Would not recommend. Pool bar closed Monday thru Thursday. No ice machine in hotel wing, Recliners at pool were frayed and old appearing. Need to walk to pool bar for ice and the ice machine was broken therefore needed to walk to bar for ice. Room large, nice and comfortable. Did not live up to 4 star rating. Omni resort in Phoenix much better! Not worth the money!
Everything about this resort is beautiful. The golf course is in amazing condition especially for summer in Arizona. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, our room was perfect, the food at the restaurants was amazing! Breakfast at desert farmer was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to go back. We needed a place to relax and this place was everything we needed.
The staff was exceptional. Our casita was comfortable and spacious with stunning mountain views. The spa wad relaxing, the pools were fun and the drinks were cold.
The best staff I've experienced in a long time at any hotel or resort, truly amazing people. The facilities and cost of food services, is holding them all back from being a five star facility. Let me be clear I'm ok with higher cost if the facility was better. I hope they're spending all that money on the people because they should have remodeled 10+ years ago.
Trip was fantastic! Such a beautiful property. Beautiful property that has been nicely updated on the inside. Lobby bar looks to the Catalinas and staff is wonderful. Upon check in there was an issue that was completely out of control of the hotel and the staff went out of their way to make it right and add some amenities to our trip. Bob's steakhouse was a delight as we were celebrating our anniversary and they went above and beyond to celebrate us! We will be back!
Absolutely amazing! The staff made us feel like king and queen. The best room and view. Super accommodating. Great amenities. We only left the resort once.
We love the cleanliness of the property
