Fantasyland Hotel

It is Fantasyland Hotel, I have stayed here a few times over the last 25 years, it is convenient place to stay if your time is being spent at the mall. Its clean and rooms seem to be quiet later in the evening when there is less noise in the hallways. Staff were great, room was tidy and coffee and cups were replenished.

The hotel is impressively clean, and the housekeeping team clearly takes pride in maintaining the property. Staff members are consistently friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere from check‑in to check‑out. While the overall experience is pleasant, the building itself feels somewhat dated, and certain areas could benefit from modernization. The biggest drawback is the elevator situation — they are extremely slow, which can be frustrating during busy times. Despite these issues, the hotel’s cleanliness and attentive staff make it a comfortable place to stay, especially if you don’t mind a bit of old‑school charm.

We had a family weekend at WEM attractions. We were very comfortable in our room, it was clean, spacious for the 4 of us and the beds were comfortable. The staff were all very kind and helpful.

Me and my partner were very happy with our stay. The staff were super friendly in all areas of the hotel, whether its the front desk or the restaurant part. Our room was very clean and neat when we arrived which my partner was weary of based on some prior reviews they read. Our beds were very comfortable for us and we actually had a great sleep on them. I would personally say they are maybe a medium firmness? Either way we fell asleep quickly and stayed asleep :)
The breakfast in the restaurant part is more than priced fair for what we got, being about $20 for a main dish that has sides, which are portioned much larger than we initially expected.
The only downside we had ourselves was one outlet didn't want to work, which was fine because the other outlets did work for us. The shower worked normally, however a small stream of water came from the knob you turn to turn on the water. Thankfully that did not interfere with the shower head itself, and did not make a mess.
We came for a night as a birthday treat for my partner, and left with a wonderful smile on our face. We will definitely consider coming again next year and might choose a different theme. The princess room was truly a great experience, especially when you bring a tiara :)

Great trip with the family, excellent service and location at them all for a fun day at the waterpark!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights a different room each night. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, we were able to park and check in early Saturday. We never had to leave the hotel or mall until we checked out late Monday morning

Every thing was really good! Halls were nice and quiet which is so important for a work trip! Staff friendly and I felt safe.

I took my two adult daughters for a lovely weekend at the Fantasyland hotel. We shopped, rode a roller coaster, and rode waves without having to leave the mall!! Had an amazing time.

Theme room was fun, but dated and smelled like cigarettes. This is the kind of place where you stay once.

If going for a West Edmonton Mall day of festivities with the family, grabbing a theme room is the no brainer icing on the cake. Pricy yes but for an annual going out, worth every penny.

I did not sleep for 2 days due to the very loud party animals next to my room. I should have been moved or the loud people should have been kicked out.

We had a great experience with the dino room and polynesian theme floor. it was fantastically done and the kids loved it. Unfortunately rooms beside us were being treated for bed bugs so this made us quite uncomfortable as we were not aware there was an outbreak. Happy to return to try another theme room and fingers crossed there is no ongoing bed bug treatment at that time!

Had an Awesome trip to the Rome themed room. The jacuzzi was great too. 10/10 will be back for the space room!

I would highly recommend staying here. Was treated great and the experience overall was great. Definitely worth coming to it's nice to have a place to go and put your bags after you're done shopping in the mall and just being able to go straight back out without going to the car or back to a different hotel.

Our room was perfect. Very clean, comfortable and modern. Loved the Polynesian theme. We ordered up wine and snacks from room service and were impressed by the fast, friendly service and felt they went above and beyond. Check out was super quick and easy.

One night stay with kids for shopping, wonderful stay, totally recommend staying inside the mall at this hotel, so cool to be there after stores close, up early in morning before general population arrives, and the safety of staying right in mall was awesome.

One day getaway with my husband. The Polynesian room was dated, tired. Needs an update. A little deflating . Very loud ac or furnace in the room. Would not stay in that room again. It was nice to be in the mall we caught a movie and did some shopping

We were there for a conference and arrived late. Ibrahim was outstanding! I cannot express how amazing this individual was and how he impacted our trip. The staff overall were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The room service staff were also amazing, and the food was great. The rooms could use an update and improved cleanliness. There were few plugs and no USB/C outlets for charging devices.

Window view was poor but that's okay because I am a night owl so would have preferred no window or better blinds anyways, since the mirrors reflect any light everywhere into the room. Jaccuzi tub was fantastic at least. The room felt very high end at a glance though the mattress was too soft and some jokester set the alarm clock in the room for 6am. Shower and tap water took a long time to warm up in the AM but that's pretty typical of most hotels. The heat/ AC makes a minor amount of white noise but beyond that I had no issues with sounds. Front Desk was very polite and helpful. Stayed the night to see a movie so it being a quick couple minutes over to the theater was very convenient. Overall don't think I'd pay that kind of price again unless they get better mattresses in the future.

Very average or below hotel, for the price I would expect comfortable pillows and more than two outlets in the room ( one of which plugs instantly fall out) we mentioned many times if our floor could get cleaned as it was extremely sticky everywhere, they gave us two pairs of slippers for our family of 5. Walking with bare feet was gross and shoes were loud and woke our kids up with the sticky noise with each step
