Great location. The room was okay for the price.
Staff was great at checking, but then we're not existed at checkout and got no food. Ended up with cold water the night before too but was too tired to say anything. Disappointed to see the breakfast blocked behind the door and nobody answering the doorbell or the phone
The goods:
- It's rock-bottom cheap for Nashville
- It's in a great location - the city center is only about a 15-minute drive away whether you take the interstate or White Bridge Road. White Bridge is filled with intriguing restaurant options, be it independent choices (a Thai/boba tea place is next door to the hotel), local chains (a Hattie B's is not far away), or even fast food (hey, Jack In The Box is not usually a Southern thing but there's one here). Interesting looking thrift shops, yoga places, a record store/music instrument shop, etc. It looks like a road I'd be on a good bit if I actually lived in Nashville.
- The room has a fridge and a coffee maker so that's always a plus for me. There were also 3 regular coffees left in the room, more than I've ever seen. Whether that's intentional or not I don't know, but hey I'll list it as a plus.
The bed was good - 5 pillows on my king and they were all just as I like them.
The ehs:
- As other reviews have mentioned there's a bit of a drop in the curb between the road and the hotel parking lot. It's fine if you take it slow (I drive a relatively low-clearance Prius) but just something to be mindful of.
- The hotel appears rundown. The automatic sliding door entry to the "lobby" wasn't working so you have to manually slide it yourself - I may be dense but it took me awhile to realize this was what I had to do, particularly as there's no obvious grip for you to do this. Likewise the key card entries for the exterior-facing rooms do not work, so you are given a key to use on the deadbolt.
- The HVAC unit's digital display needs some work as a few of the lights have burned out, which caused confusion when I was trying to set it - the heat light does not come on, and the temp setting looked like the Russian alphabet until I figured it out. The unit itself worked fine, so that's the good news, but still.
- Not gonna lie, I saw some hairs in the bed when I pulled the sheets back and they were pretty confidently not my own. This may be a dealbreaker for some but I was, as the header implies, "eh." Thank goodness hair was the extent of it - it could possibly just be that of the housekeeping attendant. That's what I'm going to think, at least.
I didn't bother with breakfast so no comment on that, but it's Nashville, you've got options. Use some of that money you saved on the room and go elsewhere.
This is also not indicative of this particular hotel but Wyndham in general, but I find it annoying that I am sent emails/texts encouraging me to check in in advance to speed up the process when I arrive, down to me having to take a photo of my driver's license to scan in, only for the hotel to inevitably have no records of such. I have yet to have success with this feature, but maybe a Days Inn/Wyndham rep can read this and look into it.
Equal "ehs" than "goods" but the goods are good - I want cheap, I want convenient, and I want safe and I got that with this place. I would like to think they could improve the appearance - I'll admit I was unsure when I arrived - but frankly if the broken automatic door/cards keep the prices down that's a price I'm willing to (not) pay.
I needed a last minute place to stay. Don't let the star rating fool you. The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was accommodating to a hidden disability. Slept good. Double decker fridge and newish microwave.
If you have a heavy vehicle, don't park by the office because of slope. This will be my go to place when I am too tired to drive home or bad weather.
This hotel is close to a lot of restaurants. It is near several hospitals and easy to get to downtown Nashville. It was clean and very reasonably priced, therefore very busy.
If you’re looking through the mixed reviews of this place and wondering if A. Some people are being harsh and pretentious or B. Some good reviews are written by the place itself - look no further.
This place is okay. Is it super nice? No. Is it safe? Yes. If you’re not overly concerned with having a *nice* hotel room and you want the cheapest stay possible while still feeling safe and being able to uber to Broadway - this is perfect for you. If you are someone who will not stay in a hotel where the doors face the outside - this is not your place.
Manager is rude and a thief
Convenient for a quick stay but parking was limited
There weee old mattress and beds sitting outside, the bed was broke down, they didn’t have any breakfast
Tons of eateries, stores nearby. Minutes from Vanderbilt, which was the reason I was in town. Had to take my friend to the hospital, needed cheap, clean, safe lodgings nearby. Found it.
Next to the highway everything about 15mins away. Clean room, staff was very helpful and kind
Paper thin walls so you can hear everyone everywhere. The curtains had mold on them.
Great
The door to our room was a little sketchy but ok. The handle and lock seemed loose! The paint that was on the countertop was interesting. It was ok but sloppy. Parking IS VERY TIGHT! But over all good stay!! We only needed one night so it served its purpose and was good for that. It was clean! Towels were clean and smelled clean!!!
Quiet and friendly staff
Everything was good. Room was nice. Couldn't use the breakfast because I couldn't eat because I was going to the hospital for tests.
Good for the price
Nothing
The staff was great. Our room did not have a clothes rack.
The breakfast was good but there was no where to sit except outside by the busy road. Our room also did not have a stuffed chair to sit and read or put shoes on. No elevator was hard on us as we are elderly. I understand the room was inexpensive but with the Whyndham name I guess I thought It would be more upgraded. no hair dryer but the staff got us one.
The staff was amazing thank u
