There was blood on the bedsheets, clumps of hair in the bathroom, a dog next door that barked constantly and it's owner yelling and throwing things at it. The manager was ridiculous and gave me every excuse as to why he wouldn't give me a refund, then he canceled the rest of my reservation with no refund!

Staff on the front desk were not welcoming or friendly, almost as we were an inconvenience

I got this hotel because of the pool. The pool wasnt even clean. Looks not taken care of for months.

Stains on couch, ottoman and top sheet. Blanket was as thin as a sheet. Plenty of drinks to choose from in fridgerator in lobby except for milk, the only one I wanted.

Air-conditioning left on all day, so the room was freezing cold when I checked in exhausted at 2am after an 11-hour drive. And although I made it 2 hours before the 4:00 a.m. deadline, as someone who had to drive all day Chattanooga to attend a family funeral it was possible I wouldn't have made it till 4:00 a.m. or maybe 5:00 a.m., giving me five or six hours of sleep before having to check out at 11:00am. But when I called the property to let them know I would be arriving early in the morning they told me to make sure I made it by 4:00 a.m. or I would lose the room and my money, because the system audit would "start the new day." It's things like this that shows that most hotels really don't care about customer service or their customers the way they say they do. Because, since it's very rare that everyone would be arriving so late like I might have, it's not something they have to deal with all the time, Therefore,:they should be able to apply creative problem solving techniques to help a customer like me in cases like this. For someone to be driving 11 to 12 hours at the last minute due to a funeral and not be able to check in because they arrive at, say, 4:15 a.m. and thn loose their money is absolutely ridiculous. If you're keeping a customer's money after the 4:00 a.m. cut off then you have to let them stay -- all you have to do is give them a key,'and then send an email to the corporate office for assistance in the morning. This is a very nice hotel with a great location and the staff I talked to are very nice, but my theory with most hotels is they provide good service so they don't get in trouble or get bad ratings or get fired or get complaints or whatever. But they really don't care about customer service on a personal, human level outside the framework of avoiding negative ramifications if they don't provide the service.

Upon arrival, I opened up the sofa bed in the room for my toddler to discover that not only were there no sheets on the bed, but it was full of "stuff" that belonged to what I can only imagine to be previous guests.

Furthermore there were no sheets for the bed the room, so I had to go down to the lobby to get them.

On the 2nd night, upon return to the hotel, we discovered our key cards were deactivated. The night attendant fixed the problem, which she had to do every single day of our stay. As it turns out, all key cards are automatically deactivated every day. An inconvenience, but it also suggests that the hotel has a security problem.

We had a non smoking room, but the rooms were not properly sealed. So not sure if it was someone outside the room or in the adjacent room, but the room often smelled like cigarette smoke.

The room was also never cleaned during our stay, which is also disappointing. I also found that the general cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired.

The sleeper sofa doesn’t have bedding or pillows you have to ask. They do not offer pillows for the sleeper sofa. The tub was filthy.

When we checked in, we politely asked the front desk if it would be possible to have a quieter room. The receptionist responded that we were “not really in a position to be picky” because the hotel was fully booked. However, this didn’t seem accurate, as the hotel appeared to be only partially occupied until the weekend. The tone felt unnecessarily dismissive.
There is no elevator, which may be inconvenient for some guests. The first floor had a strong smell of marijuana, likely coming from a long-term occupant. At night, groups of young people gathered outside, playing loud music, and during the day there was noticeable noise from nearby highway construction.
The pool was closed for the season, which would have been helpful to know in advance.

The key fobs kept going out. I had to get the keys reprogrammed twice. That's the only thing that I didn't like,getting locked outside at night
