On the way to Holyhead from London for an overnight stay. Good impression on my first visit and would return.

Pros:

Location was perfect for visiting allowing access to all the places of interest, restaurants and bars. There was a good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast also a great choice of tea and coffee.

Tired hotel in need of revamp in rooms and really not worth the money.
Pros:

It’s location. The view over the racecourse. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chester. The staff were helpful friendly and polite.

Cons:

The small size of the room. The harsh feeling sheets, pillowcases and towels. No make up mirror. Very little hanging space and no drawers at all for smalls. Nasty smell of drains in the first room we were allocated and broken toilet seat. Noise level in second room from what sounded like a generator which went on all night and also lots of banging of doors. We could hear everything that was said in the room next door which meant they could hear everything we said. Also, the cradle for the shower head was broken which meant you had to hold it over you to shower. Extremely difficult to wash your hair.

Had a great time lovely hotel perfect location

The zhotel was very clean, comfortable beds and beautiful breakfast

No draws in room so had to leave most clothes in suitcase
