The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant
Pros:

The location to visit all that chester has to offer.

Cons:

The discription on your website was totally out of date it has not had a restuarant in the hotel for five years as we were informed on arrival which was most dissapointing and of course not part of our plans

Great value for money
Pros:

Great location. Easy to find, parking for £10 overnight. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was lovely, just needed some tomatoes and mushrooms on the hot offerings. Staff did me some gluten free bread with no hassle. The sausages were great!

Cons:

The room was too warm for me, fan in the room helped and the window did open but busy road right outside.

An OK hotel but not one that I would stay at again.
Pros:

The hotel is well located adjacent to the racecourse on a reasonably busy road and with the Welsh railway line running nearby. There is parking adjacent but at a charge of £10/day. The hotel is reasonably clean but I made the mistake of booking a room which turned out to be "accesable" i.e. for the disabled. There was no wardrobe and very limited hanging space and the bathroom was a wet room with low basins etc.,. However, the main issue was the double bed which was a normal 4ft 6in rather than Queen or King sized. Unfortunately I was told this is the same for all rooms. Breakfast buffet was OK but we moved to an alternative hotel because of the room. It's an easy walk into town but I would ask for a room facing the racecourse as this would be the quietest.

Cons:

The size of the double bed and no option for Queen or King size. Booking the 'accessable' room was my fault but should be made clearer on the Booking.com website as having facilities for the disabled.

The moans are minor irritations in what is an otherwise good hotel, well placed and value for money
Pros:

Great location, good breakfast, comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff. Parking was very handy and cheap compared to other places

Cons:

Green light above door made the room brighter at night than we would have wanted. Hangers need redesigning as one over the other doesn't leave enough space for clothes to hand properly

Great Stover Hotel
Pros:

Location was very good for the town.
It was nice to have fresh milk available to use in room.

Cons:

Buffet breakfast is never as hot as a freshly cooked to order, but there was a good selection and staff were very attentive.
