Still a great property and resort - and they have recently done some remodeling. Staff is excellent all around.
Things can get pricey…looking at you cocktail lounge
Location, physical plant, ambiance.
All was good.
Amazing common spaces, and wonderful staff.
Our room smelled like mildew. The adjoining casita #121 was particularly bad. We tried to open the doors, but it didn’t clear nor help. We did not care for the scent of all the soaps either. Lavender isnt everyone’s cup of tea.
Great rooms, spa, pool for kids and fitness center

Food choices and quality
Quality is worse overall since the hotel was taken over by Omni. Went from a 5 star to a 3.5.
It was clean and staff was helpful.
The roomi had was clear across the property and very isolating. As someone traveling alone it would have been nice to be closer to the main area.
We recently stayed at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa for a family getaway, and it exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed. Our room was absolutely incredible and had our whole family saying "wow" when we walked in. The resort itself is beautiful, with gorgeous grounds, plenty of space to explore, and so many activities that kept all three of us entertained.
The dining was excellent throughout our stay. Dinner at VUE was outstanding and easily one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The service was attentive, friendly, and made every meal feel special.
Another standout experience was the pickleball lesson my husband and daughter took together. Their instructor was patient, encouraging, and made learning the sport so much fun.
I treated myself to a spa visit, which was the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge.
We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already talking about when we can come back. If you're looking for a Southern California resort that offers something for everyone Omni La Costa is absolutely worth the visit.
The grounds, beautiful views, and landscaping are still amazing and continue to be the best part of the property.
We have been coming to this property with our family regularly for the past 13–14 years, so this stay was very disappointing compared to our past experiences.
The front desk employees were not friendly or welcoming. We had most of our meals at the hotel during our stay, and while the food was acceptable, the overall service was just average and staff interactions did not feel warm or attentive.
The room and villas felt very outdated and poorly maintained. I also requested an upgrade and was told someone would get back to me, but nobody ever followed up or checked in with us. For a room that cost around $700 per night, having a parking lot view was extremely disappointing.
Overall, this stay did not meet the level of service or quality we expected from a place we have loyally visited for many years.
Beautiful grounds and gorgeous beach location. Excellent service and logistic support from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and felt refreshed
We had the best time celebrating our 25th anniversary here! We enjoyed golf and the spa. We had dinner at Bob’s where they treated us to a delicious dessert. Our favorite part was the complimentary champagne and strawberries delivered to our room! And every person treated us extra special!
Bob restaurant, pools , few pepole on the service
We were assigned to an area and a room that is out dated , the room was in bed condition, we had to waste
Over 2 hours till we change the room, instead of enjoying our stay,
Very dissatisfied and disappointed
My first time at this property but definitely not my last! The grounds are like a small city with beautiful shops, restaurants and the amazing gardens. If you are fortunate enough to be a guest, you MUST spend time at the spa. The amenities inside and out are perfect for a day of self-pampering and relaxation.
I wanted to share feedback regarding my family’s recent experience at your hotel through ResortPass yesterday. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and far below expectations for an Omni hotel especially a beautiful property like this one in the La Costa area,
The pool area was severely overcrowded to the point that there were no available pool chairs for guests. It appeared that the hotel had accepted far more day guests than the facilities could reasonably accommodate. Rather than being a relaxing experience, the atmosphere felt chaotic and uncomfortable. There were lawn chairs set up on the grass which was muddy. They had people laying on the grass changing their babies diapers because they didn’t have a chair. The pool chairs were old and breaking.
Additionally, it was very clear that the service staff was overwhelmed and overworked. While the staff members we encountered were courteous and doing their best, the level of demand placed on them made it difficult for guests to receive adequate service or attention. This reflected poorly on the overall guest experience and created an environment that did not feel enjoyable or well-managed.
The pool food was terrible. The food was cold. It took forever to come.
As someone who lives nearby, I often have friends and family visit the area and regularly make recommendations for accommodations and local experiences. Based on our experience yesterday, I would not feel comfortable recommending your hotel to visiting friends or family members.
Furthermore, if my family and I were considering a local staycation in the future, we would absolutely choose the Park Hyatt Aviara instead, as our experience at your property did not inspire confidence in the quality of the guest experience.
I'm hopeful this feedback is used to reevaluate capacity management and staffing levels for guests moving forward. I felt worse for those individuals and families that were actually staying at the hotel than my family. I couldn’t imagine coming to the hotel and spending money on staying there to have a pool situation such as yesterday. It is clear there was a lot of greed at play here and didn’t care about the customer experience.
Completely over priced and nickel and dime for everything resort fee parking fee over priced food and beverage cost. We went down for breakfast and were not told that it was some speacial brunch or what it even included and was charged $110 per person. For eggs and bacon is crazy.
