Comfortable, clean, relaxing, lovely staff
Pros:

Hotel Absalon was comfortable, clean, relaxing. Perfect central location. All necessary amenities provided. What really set it apart was the friendly, kind, informative staff. Everyone was lovely!

Cons:

Not much: the bath could do with a support handle, and an effective grip mat, as it was slippery getting out. The matt provided made it worse.Larger bath towels would have been nice.

Perfekt für einen Städtetrip
Pros:

Die Lage ist super! Das Frühstück ist ausreichend und lässt bis auf verschiedene Kaffeearten keine Wünsche offen.
Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig. Wobei es wenig Ablageflächen gab. Mit dem Green Concept gab es die Möglichkeit den Zimmerservice wegzulassen und stattdessen ein Getränk bei der Bar zu genießen. Wir haben uns für diese Möglichkeit entschieden.

Cons:

Beim Frühstück gab es nur große Kaffeebehälter. Man konnte nicht zwischen verschiedenen Sorten (Cappuccino, Verlängerter, usw.) wählen.
Ist man erst gegen 9 Uhr beim Frühstück passiert es immer wieder, dass etwas fehlt (Gläser, Eier,…). Da sind es einfach zu viele Gäste und zu wenig Personal.

Lovely family run hotel, great location, great staff, and would visit again.
Pros:

Lovely hotel and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Downstairs lobby/bar/breakfast area was smart and clean. There was also a good vibe at the bar in the evening and felt cosy.

Breakfast was more than sufficient with a good mix of items to get you going for the day.

Particularly liked the fact you could receive a voucher if you didn't have your room cleaned on a given day. We often don't need/want the room serviced daily.

The location was also great, close to the station/Metro, and felt like a good base. It was also within a short walk to Tivoli.

Cons:

The room itself was a little dated and probably could do with some TLC in parts. Also felt as a family of 4 we could have done with some extra pillows. We could have asked and I'm sure the hotel would have provided them.

The area itself is a little edgy, but we never felt unsafe with young children out at night.

We are generally at breakfast early, so no issues there between 7:30-8:30, but had one late morning and it was extremely busy around 8:30-9. The hotel do warn of the busy times and would advise an early breakfast.

Piccole accortezze per migliorare

Staff gentile con menzione per Francesco che è stato molto disponibile ad darci consigli. Posizione a 2 passi dalla stazione centrale, a 15 minuti a piedi dal municipio ed ad una ventina di minuti a piedi dal centro. Ottima la politica di dare benefit da utilizzare al loro bar se non ti facevi pulire la camera tutti i giorni

Cons:

Corridoio per raggiungere le stanze assai stretto. In camera mancanza di una presa elettrica su entrambi i lati del letto. Letto disposto in posizione stretta (nonostante la camera non fosse piccola) e quindi da un lato potevi sbattere contro la tv ((messa di lato) e dall'altro in pratica andavi a sbattere nelle tende. Inconcepibile per un 4 stelle che il cappuccino si paghi a parte.

Nice hotel, in a great location, friendly personnel
Pros:

the hotel is cool in a great location, the personell very friendly, but the breakfast was very poor. It's also really disappointing in 2026 not to have a proper coffee machine in the breakfast area.

Good location and nice staff, but the hotel it's not kept at the standards it used to have.

Cons:

I had been in this hotel 10 years before and the standards have definetely gone down. Iit is a bit run down, carpets and lift often not clean, had to mention in reception that there had been dirt for hours in one of the floors carpets. Looks like they haven't revamped/kept up the hotel at the original standards. Also breakfast used to be better. While it was acceptable, it didn't have some of the products it used to have or were shown in the hotel pictures (herrings, for example).
