Nice rooms but small and old. Water pressure is uncomfortable. No microwaves whatsoever. Very difficult to eat comfortably with no microwaves. Ruined the whole experience.
Front desk staff was extremely welcoming out of the gate when we arrived. They were always so very pleasant during our stay. The hotel itself and rooms are very very clean even with a terrible winter storm blowing through. Impressive! For downtown Boston I thought the price of our room was very reasonable. The Lucie restaurant has excellent food and the hostess Lisa was so sweet and kind. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a great experience with our (large) dogs at the Colonnade. The staff were friendly and supportive, and the setup works well if you use hotel parking, because you can skip the lobby and take the dogs right up to your room. It's a nice place, very centrally located, and well maintained. Strongly recommend.
Two gentlemen Aidan and Adam were very good to me and made sure my stay was comfy
Norman was TREMENDOUS! My husband and I stayed for two nights and had the fortunate opportunity to interact with Norman on multiple occasions. He embraced service with a smile and was courteous, invested in assuring our questions were answered well and would offered us appropriate suggestions on getting to our destinations. The hotel did not disappoint and we agreed that we will make this our ‘go to’ Boston home!
The Boston Colonnade Hotel is well-appointed, with top-notch customer service, and is in an excellent location. The rooms are ample in size and feature comfortable beds, contemporary bathroom fixtures, a refrigerator, a safe, and chairs. We were looking out toward the South End, which is not the “usual preferred view”, but was a welcome view all the same.
We can’t say enough about the front desk staff. They are among the best we’ve ever encountered. Each person went out of their way – figuring out logistics, getting my husband water when he returned from a run, and opening the coffee area when I was searching for a cup. Unlike some of the busier area hotels, you won’t feel like a number or have to wait in long lines.
Steps from the Prudential Center and the historic Christian Science Plaza, the Colonnade is conveniently located for walking to restaurants, shops, the Public Garden, and the Theatre District. You’ll also be able to hop on the T to get to other Boston attractions.
If you’re heading to Boston, check out the Colonnade. You won’t be disappointed.
My wife and I love this hotel we stay here every year in January on our work trip to the US and we absolutely love it. Clean and well kept, great service and wonderful to be right next to the Prudential center for all the shows and restaurants.
This is one of my favorite hotels in Back Bay. The staff is lovely, the rooms are spacious and very clean. They have a spacious bar and restaurant on premises. The location is terrific. Consistently great experience. Will stay here again soon!
The Colonnade is a friendly, clean place to stay. The food provided was exceptional. Norm the Doorman is the most kind and friendly staff member.
With a student at Northeastern University, I find myself in Boston quite a bit and I am so glad that I found The Colonnade! It has become my "Boston Home". The location can't be beat - a few minutes from the Back Bay Amtrak Station, across from the Prudential Center and a short walk to campus. The rooms are updated, spacious and clean. The staff is always friendly and on my last trip, the doorman even remembered me from my prior trip.
3rd stay at this property and it is the most friendly, welcoming experience always. Rooms are comfortable and more than adequate. Lucie's is ideal for drinks and great food. Perfect location for the Prudential and within walking distance to other attractions. Juan - Front Office is the consummate professional. NOrman and Ahmad? on the door - fonts of knowledge and so helpful. Breakfast staff amazing. Ali, Zae and Frank at the bar - wow!! Thanks all - hopefully see you in June!!
The location is excellent. A metro station just at the door of the hotel. Breakfast wasn't included in the reservation and the menu was expensive. The bed was comfortable and the hotel furniture and interiors are lovely. The swimming pool was refreshing and they provide you with towels and there was a sunscreen machine that was a great addition. It was clean. We asked for a cab at 4 am and they confirmed it, but when it was 4 am they said there were no taxis at that time! But their concierge managed to get a taxi from the hotel next to them. The concierge was a lovely man.
Norman went above and beyond to proactively meet my needs. I am on crutches and was nervous to get around, he absolutely helped me feel at ease.
Staying at the Colonnade is always a treat. For us it is one of the mainstays of Boston. The Colonnade staff go above and beyond to accommodate us. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Boston.
Lovely staff, perfect rooms and great location
First time at the Colonnade in decades. Surprised my stay was so good. Room was fine for my needs and very clean. What set the hotel apart was the staff. All interactions were wonderful. Norman Maines in particular is a spectacular representative for your brand.
The staff was professional and very friendly. Norman the head doorman is outstanding. He is warm, welcoming and very helpful.
The hotel room was very clean. My only minor complaint is that there is no fresh milk or cream for the coffee in the morning. They use the little chemical creamers. Also they charge a resort fee and a pretty high parking rate.
Fantastic. Three nights here at the beginning of our trip. Very pleasant to stay there with children straight off a flight from the UK because the rooms are spacious. But also they’re generous with water and snacks so you feel at home. Very clean and the staff are lovely. Definitely spend time at the gorgeous rooftop pool.
I stayed here while at a conference in the Hynes Convention Center, and it was perfect. Nice room, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff. It’s just a few steps away from the entrance to the convention center but is much quieter than the other hotels nearby (which have crowded and noisy common spaces), which I very much appreciated. The rubber ducky is a fun touch.
The hotel staff did everything to make our stay in Boston a perfect experience :) I can recommend it to everyone who wants to experience Boston <3
