It was basic the room claimed to be renovated but feels and looks like the renovations were a long time ago. Don’t expect any view if room faces the city. Not cleaned properly. Chocolate bar wrappers on the couch, pillows ..nothing to them.
I had a pretty solid stay at Aqua Palms Waikiki. It's not a luxury resort, but for what you pay, it gives you a lot of what you want out of a Waikiki stay. Here are the highlights (and a few caveats):
What I liked
• Location is very convenient — You're close enough to walk to Ala Moana Center, Waikiki Beach, shops, restaurants, etc.
• Staff & service gets praise
• Rooms are clean and tunctional
I'd rate Aqua Palms Waikiki as a very good budget to mid-tier option in Waikiki. It's not perfect, but for a stay where your main priorities are location, basic comforts, and friendly staff, it delivers. I'd stay there again — especially if I'm on a budget with trading off some luxuries for value.
I recommend staying here. It’s a great bang for your book and I will stay there again.
Resort was close to the beach. The staff was lovely. Room was very nice, recently renovated. Hallway was still being renovated.
We did not use the pool, but it looked rather small.
The hotel is under renovations and they put me on a room facing the back of the hotel looking at a parking lot. Even though they advertised city view. It was terrible. The staff were excellent and the room was cozy nicely decorated but…. My Room 209 did not have a real balcony and the latch on the door was weird. The really bad part was there were roaches everywhere. Thank goodness I only spent one night there but that was enough. I asked to change rooms. They changed me and put me on the same floor just a few rooms down. As soon as I opened the door there was a strong chemical smell that I couldn’t tolerate so I went back to my original room. At night when I used the restroom is when I saw all the roaches. There is a room on that floor that faces the pool area it almost looks like you have your own private space but I don’t think I would use it after all the roaches. They need to do better. Great location restaurants near by but I’ll never stay there again. Sorry guys wanted to like you it right in front of Hilton Hawaiian village where my vacation is really scheduled and I could extend my stay at the aqua palms but it was not a good experience.
Laundry facilities, access to general store, close to shopping centre and beach
Nice
Amazing location. Parking available on site. Easy access to the beach through the Hilton. Friendly helpful staff.
We stayed at Aqua Palms Waikiki for six nights and absolutely loved it. The room was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed, with the most amazing view and a perfect terrace. The staff were very kind and always there to help with anything. We are more than satisfied and would definitely stay here again!
Great place. Great staff.
Bugs In The Bed And On The Floor. No Air Conditioning. Paper Strip On Carpet.
Good location
Spacious & clean accommodation wirh cery friendly & helpful service. No problems to securely leave our luggage mid morning until our room was ready mid afternoon.
An easy walk to the beach & lots of shops & eateries. Our room also had views of the beach & Diamond Head. A good spot.
Great location away from the crazy busy area of Waikiki. Good views. Close to beach and close to nice store for food and supplies. I’ve stayed here several times.
It’s nice
Very convenient hotel and close to everything staff was awesome
So, staff was very friendly and all but the property was pretty dirty. At least for me, my room had some cracks on the door, the bathroom floor was marked up with some type of pencil? My pillow had a string of black curly hair (my hair is straight and light brown). I didn’t feel like my room was very clean and the property was under construction so there was a bunch of cardboard boxes on the floor and it looked a bit ghetto but.. like I said, the staff was very friendly and helpful when I needed, there was an ihop next door so that was convenient as well but would I stay here again? Probably not
Pros - pleasant front desk, balcony with nice view of Diamond Head, convenient location, clean pool, great for price
Cons - doing renovations on our floor took away from the vacation vibe, bathtub in room had discolored spot, bedsheet had a hole
Clean and quiet
Ok
convenient , not deep into Waikiki .
I'm a local living on the island
