Front desk, valet, and coffe shop employees all wonderful, room was spacious, nice and clean. Overall great stay!
It was really loud in the early morning. My room faced the Graduate and I heard all the noise from garbage trucks at 5:30am. You could also hear noice from the hall and all the doors closing at all hours.
Okay, quality of the food was not great.
latte was weak. Seemed a bit expensive given the quality of the food wasn't great. Really disappointed there was no swimming pool. In a city that is so hot, there definitely needs to be a swimming pool to cool down.
The location was ideal. It was a very short walk to the dorm and other restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The pillows weren't the best. But it's a hotel so we get it.
It was very good
N/A
Location is convenient
Very loud between 12am to 2am when people get back from bars
I loved how beautiful and spacious the rooms were!
Could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom specially the shower and floors but other than that staff was amazing and the hotel was very beautiful.
Clean, recently renovated hotel, convenient to the light rail and the University. Our room on the 7th floor had a lot of street noise until 1am from the neighborhood's bars. The free-to-use guest laundry room was extremely convenient, and let us pack light and wash clothes half-way through the trip.
This hotel was OK and pretty much on U of A. So the location was great if you were going to a U of A event. We went to the Book Festival which was on the U of A Campus. The breakfast was absolutely HORRIBLE. They had a sign that said it was $18. First, we wanted made to order omlets, but the guy at the omlet station said we would need to order from the server. We sat down, no server. So we decided on the buffet scrambled eggs. They were cold, and didn't taste like real eggs, they tasted like powered eggs. The sausage was also cold. There was no server so in the end we didn't have to pay, anyhow. The second day we went to the Black Bear diner right down the street for breakfast. That place was great, the service was great and the food was hot.
Now onto the room. We are Marroitt Platnum and we got upgraded. We got to the room, we thought, "this is an upgraded room?" We have had bigger and better rooms when renting a regular room at the Fairfield Inn. It had two queen beds, a TV and a computer desk. There was also a chair and a really small table in the corner of the room and it was in the corner where you couldn't see the TV if someone was sitting at the comptuer desk. The room was fine, it was clean but not what I expected for an "upgraded" room.
It does have valet parking. Those people were really nice. But we only had to deal with them on check in and check out. We went for the Book Festival, which was walking distance, so we never used our car during our stay.
The Marriott was in an ideal location for our trip, as it is right next to the University of Arizona Tucson campus, where we went for a college tour. There are many restaurants and stores nearby, making everything very convenient. The hotel was comfortable, and overall we had a very good experience.
Honestly, everything met our expectations, and we didn’t encounter any issues during our stay. Overall, it was a very smooth and pleasant experience.
The location could not have been better for U of A visit
The bathroom in our room either wasn’t very clean or needed updating- I didn’t care to look close enough to determine which was the case.
The room smelled stale upon entering but not bad enough that we noticed beyond that.
It was typical in every other way.
Greg at the front desk is awesome!!
