HOTEL CHANGE
LAST MINUTE
Honestly of all the hotels we used for our travels across Peru this was by far the worst. We were given a twin room on the ground floor. Facilities are very basic which would be ok, but firstly the smell of damp knocks you out on entering the room. Everything is cold (the window doesn’t shut properly) so not only cold and damp, but super noisy due to the ferocious river just outside. Even the toilet roll was damp to touch.
The bed was clean, but the sheet didn’t fit properly and actually came off the mattress (which is just gross) while sleeping. I had to sleep fully clothed. Breakfast was very basic. Absolutely would not recommend.
We had one night here and overall were happy with our stay. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the station if you are dragging a heavy bag, though once you're there you are surrounded by lots of restaurant options. It is also quite busy - at times it looked as though the foyer couldn't cope with all the hotel guests.
Our room was on an upper floor, clean and spacious and we were very pleased there was an efficient elevator - not something we always encountered in hotels in Peru. The bed was comfy, wifi was good, as was hot-water supply and breakfast excellent. It rained heavily during our stay and below our window was a thundering torrent of a stream that runs through the centre of town. Closing the window did reduce the noise level significantly if not completely but after a while the sound of the tumbling waters did provide a constant, pleasant backdrop.
Very nice hotel. Convenient location and nice view from the room. Restaurant that is located on the top floor makes your breakfast a special time.
Hotel Staff very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel for everyone who travels to Aguas Calientes.
The location is perfect for everything you need. Walking distance from everything essential, food, pharmacy and transport.
The room itself (clean and great space) was looking over the river and greenery and made it so restful.
Staff were very kind and helpful. They made the stay the best.
Very nice
Everything about this hotel is fine, the only thing that stands out is that the windows don’t seal all the way and you can hear the river and other people in the street. The owner was very nice and helped us with getting our tickets to Machupicchu. Bathrooms have a ventilation window to the hallway that can be opened from outside. Has a good view of the town.
Like other reviewers said, this place makes you feel like been taken care of by your grandparents. The two owners were super sweet. Our train ticket was at 7 pm and they let us hang out in the spacious lobby (more like a family room) for the whole day. The room we stayed has a great view of the mountain and waterfall!
Beautiful hotel in excellent location ! Roaring river next to the property could be a bit lound for some but we loved it. Unfortunately both the bar and the restaurant were closed but the buffet breakfast on the top floor was great 😃
Next to the abundance of restaurants and shopping.
Very good
Close to the river, very noisy. Poor ventilation, if you leave windows open, lots of mosquitoes, if you close it too damp.
Loved this hotel! This is a family run business and the two owners are the cutest and sweetest couple that you could ever meet. Staying there felt like you were being taken care of by your grandparents. I feel this hotel is underrated and is truly a missed gem in Machu Picchu. I stayed on the fifth floor in a double room and the views that I had were amazing and breathtaking. My room was a corner unit, which meant we had two views. One of the waterfall and upper mountains, while the second view was of the river and the main city strip. Other than hearing the sounds of the river at night, it was a nice peaceful room. Room was larger, clean and the bathroom was clean and had great water pressure.
Breakfast was included in our stay and is located on the 6th floor with panoramic views of the town. This location is also great because you are close to many restaurants, about a 5 minute walk to the Thermal Springs and about a ten minute walk to the bus pickup location to Machu Picchu.
They also allowed us to store our suitcases at the hotel, while we went to Machu Picchu, so that we didn’t have to find alternative storage, while away.
Very clean, no noise except for the.noise of the river which made it very pleasant to rest. Very good communication.
Jeg har kun gode ord om denne hotel. Personalet var hjælpsomme over alt forventning.
Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Excellent value for the price. Beautiful views on the 6th floor. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Located in a quiet part of the small town, easy walking to markets and restaurants. Laundry facilities next door 6 peruvian sol per kg of clothes ready in 2 hrs washed and folded.
Great option to stay if your going to Machu Pichu. Clean, comfortable and good location with not too much noise. The tenants where very kind!
Had a great time, they had a bar but no one bar tending, but that’s probably because there wasn’t very many people staying but that made it nice to pretty much have the hotel to ourselves, they let me pay a little extra for a later check out time
We spent two nights in the hotel and we like everthing about it. As im wrighting this we are still here and we have nothing to complain about. The room is a little could but thats no problem as well beause they have a good little on the wall. (See pictures) The room is very clean and there are some cosy details with an peruan touch to give it a warm look.
All in all very recommandeble!
PS: ask for a room wit a view! ;-)
Nice family that is quick to respond to your questions! In the morning you get a good, simple and fresh breakfast, starting the day well!!!
We had a good internet connection in the bedroom and the shower was good and warm. This was nice after a walk / hike in Machu Picchu.
Nice quiet location and definitely recommended for a good stay. There is an elevator so you don't have to take the stairs :)
Thanks again for everything!
Nice hotel with good breakfast and helpful front desk. The room was fine and it was quiet. The view was nice from the window. I would stay here again. There isn't an elevator which was the only hard thing after hiking all day
