We booked for 2 nights on a weekend and had tickets for local events both nights.Unfortunately, the second event was cancelled due to severe weather in the area.We called at around 8 am to cancel the reservation for that night. This was 3 hrs before check out time.We were told there was no refund since we booked on-line pre-payed.They are inflexible with the no refund policy.I spoke with customer service and they were very helpful and called the property to speak with the manager.I had spoken with the manager and explained the weather situation. She told the customer service that I never mentioned the weather to her.I’m sure that we discussed it and she could see by looking outside that the weather situation was terrible. She told an outright LIE!! They offered 2000 points which they can keep since I will never set foot in Hyatt property again.Oh and the hotel was sold out and the rented my room again. We were frequent guests at this hotel.Nice way to treat repeat customers!!
The lady working at the front desk was over the top sweet! Place is beautiful!
As the pricey hotel, I expect much better. Room refrigerator was not working, they replaced it, commo seat one side was broken,it was sliding in usage. Bathroom fan wasn't working, they couldn't fix it whole week. Breakfast don't have any other meat options that pork.
My 2nd stay here was as good as the 1st one. The front desk gentlelady was very welcoming and it was a pleasant stay. She even provided me with band-aids when I came back with a cut on my finger after work and being a Globalist this is already in my Favorites list of Hotels to stay while in Delaware/Philly.
The last time couple of times I’ve been going they did NOT HAVE CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINSSS they are literally the highlight of of morning there bruh, if yall don’t get back on yall game trust I will not be returning will not be returning.
The stay was overall fine. Nothing bad but you get what you pay for with a Hyatt Place obviously. This was one of the nicer ones on the inside though, and the location along the riverfront was nice.
We did have a major annoyance with accessing the room. Despite booking a 2 night stay, I was somehow locked out of my room the afternoon after my first night, so I had to wait in a line to deal with that with a screaming baby in my arms. Housekeeping also told me they weren’t able to clean our room that day because “the door light was yellow” while we were away from the room. The Hyatt app also said “checked out” for our entire second night, starting sometime in the late afternoon (probably checkout time). Obviously that was concerning given our prior experience of the key not working.
This is a lovely hotel with clean, comfortable rooms in a good location. Pricey compared to limited amenities offered. Didn't even offer a bottle of water on a 100 degree day. The breakfast included in the price was pretty basic.
The hotel air conditioning and register were disproportionately noisy. And there was a dog running around the hotel. Upon booking, I was told that, while they are pet friendly (and we are a pet family), they said people 'sneak' dogs into side doors. I was not informed this and between the noise of the dog and hotel AC being incredibly loud and the uptake / register being incredibly loud (I have never experienced this prior), it was unfortunately. I checked with the front desk manager about checking out early, to which they agreed. From there, they disputed this which was problematic.
Hyatt Riverfront is in beautiful and safe location. Stayed for the weekend and found the location to be relatively peaceful and quiet.
There was ample parking in the hotel lot( a huge bonus staying at a hotel in any city). Also, breakfast was fresh; the staff consistently made sure each station stayed filled. Also, a lot of room to sit down and enjoy your breakfast.
The hotel is modern and clean. The standard double queen room was a little smaller than I expected but the beds were extremely comfortable. All five of us slept well( the sofa bed was also comfortable). The room also had a great view of the river.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the area.
The property itself is clean, and in a fantastic, walkable spot right along the river. Our room was very quiet, the bed layout and the couch area was perfect for relaxing. However, the complimentary morning breakfast buffet fell a bit short during our stay. The eggs were cold and lacked flavor. Staff service at the front desk was very friendly, though! It is a solid choice for proximity to the Riverwalk, but don't expect a premium dining experience on-site
This was lovely! We had a great view of the river. I could look out from the bed and see the sunshine and water rolling by. The room was spacious and very clean. This exceeded my expectations.
The fact that restaurants and the marker were in walking distance was a lovely perk.
Hotel was beautiful and clean. Staff was friendly and nice. Neil and Rebecka were very helpful. Riverwalk in tge Riverfront was really enjoyable.
People are very friendly and helpful. The hotel are and the Room are clean and welcoming. Outdoor area is very relaxing.
My family and I had a great time staying at this hotel. Stuff was very polite and helpful. Room was spotless clean and all common areas as well. Would definitely stay at this property again.
The Hyatt Place Wilmington Riverfront fit every need of our large group. We reserved nearly 20 rooms, and each bedroom was spacious and comfortable (especially for my family of 5). The water pressure in the shower was the best I've experienced in recent history, and the complimentary breakfast (as a Hyatt rewards member) was a pleasant surprise. The facility also did a nice job of giving us the space to hangout in the evening. We were also just steps away from a number of beautiful restaurants and the river walk. Taco Grande was delicious and reasonable:)
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel and hope my travels find me back in Wilmington so I can stay there again.
Hyatt Place Wilmington offers a very good value for the price. Staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and has a restaurant/ bar. They have a seafood restaurant next door. Although they have a gym, a planet fitness is within walking distance. This hotel lives up to the brand.
Nice location. Good coffee and great restaurants walkable. Good breakfast but no expresso in hotel. There is a bar area I never used. It’s on a river walk very pleasant. Parking free. It’s a very clean hotel and most days you have housekeeping. They are wonderful.
Hyatt properties are always our preferred choice when traveling. When we started our most recent road trip, we mapped out Wilmington, Delaware and the Hyatt Place as our first night stay. It was a late check-in and we were graciously greeted by a young man who quickly registered us, thanked us for being loyal Hyatt members and offered us bottles of water. We quickly moved to our room which were well appointed, clean and comfortable. We wanted to get an early 7:00 am start but opted to have the free buffet breakfast. We've stayed at numerous Hyatt Places throughout the years but the breakfast buffet at the Hyatt Place Wilmington was exceptional. I will say that getting to the property is a bit tricky with a few crazy lefts and rights but then again, we were not familiar with the area. The only real complaint we have is that we stayed in Room 313 and our room overlooked the HVAC system for the hotel, it was quite noisy at times. Other than that, I would highly recommend the Hyatt Place at Wilmington if your travels bring you to the area.
Great location right on the Riverfront. Easy walking to restaurants. Wish there was more things to do in the area, but likely the time of year we went.
Wish we had more time as I would have liked to walk the riverfront path. Clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice breakfast. Perfect stop for a tired couple on a long trip.
