Pros:

The staff at Reception and at Breakfast were amazing. Friendly, accommodating and attentive. Plenty of food and good variety.
The only down for me was the lift system. If you are in a hurry to reach the bathroom, you'd be in trouble. Specially as there is no toilets on the 22nd floor where the breakfast area is.

Poor first impression

Was in Vienna for business and arrived on the early flight to make the most of hotels.com platinum ‘benefits’ and check in early. Messaged the hotel through hotels.com a week earlier to say I’d be there at 1100am. When I arrived I was told there were no rooms available until 3pm. I was told they do not receive the messages from hotels.com and there was nothing they could do, I could have a dirty room or wait 4 hours for a room. I decided to go for a walk around the shopping centre for 30 mins. When I returned there was a different person on reception so I decided to try again, saying I’d got up at 2am and really needed to sleep. A much warmer receptionist tapped a few buttons and lie and behold a room was available! A poor initial check in and first impression of the hotel. Also left with the feeling that being a platinum member of hotels.com doesn’t really mean anything to them.

Property is located far from city . There is no safe or room bar , no complimentary water or anything (it was 35 deg temperature ) in bathroom there was no shampoo or soap , had to ring 4 times and took 1 hour for it to arrive . No touket tissues .. for Holiday inn and price , it was B&q with better beds that’s about it .

Stayed here many times as the location works well for me. Rooms are good EXCEPT the air conditioning/room temperature in summer is too warm and seems you can’t control it.

Stayed for 5 nights, room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was reasonably sizeable for a double room. Beds were comfortable. Due to the location being on the outskirts of Vienna there wasn't much to do of an evening so we tried to connect our phone to watch a movie but it wouldnt connect properly. Checked with the front desk and was told it would only work with laptops. Tea and coffee facilities are provided but the coffee was not great so we bought some Nescafé. Breakfast was really good with cooked options, didn't try the restaurant in the evening as the menu was a bit limited.

Pros:

It’s in the south of the city, but easy access to public transportation. There is a shopping mall connected to the hotel with a grocery store, restaurants, food court, and even an Aldi. Very good location and service for the price. Breakfast is wonderful with many choices.

The area, even tho is not in the center of town, it’s well located with easy access to all kind of transportation to the town center. I actually prefer it like that better than being located in the busy town center. And tons of restaurants and shopping/groceries around. The hotel it self feels brand new.
