Location .
I arrived at the hotel at 2:30. I was told my room would be ready in an hour. In fact, I was not given a room for 4 hours.
room was not as I requested.
everything.
Check time was at 7pm
Waited 3 hours to check in
AVOID this place if you can. At least until the construction is done. It’s an ABSOLUTE MESS! For starters the refrigerators don’t work, there is only one microwave in the whole place, the gym is down to 5 pieces of equipment and the restaurant is a makeshift until the construction is done. The staff is subpar with their customer service. And did I mention they start construction at 6:45/ 7am so you can forget getting a full nights rest. Sleeping in is not an option. Hope this place is better once the construction is done.
The state of the hotel should have been told to the company that booked all 150+ of us here.
If you visited the hotel during this month, you would know that the hotel was under construction, and many amenities were not available. There is no laundry room however they do offer dry cleaning. Although some experiences were not positive due to the construction, these nuances must be forgiven. What I will say is that the staff here is amazing. Most of the staff was consistently welcoming, and positive. Those working in the hotel restaurant, however, were exceptional. I ate at the restaurant almost every day for 30 days. The menu is flexible and customizable. I met multiple members of the dining staff that were attentive to every need and detail. Remember remembering my order from the day before. Remembering the way, I like my coffee. And serving it before I asked. Multiple staff members were able to call me by name and made me feel cared for. They understood the delicate balance of asking about my stay but not in a way that felt intrusive. They remembered the important things I said, and celebrated with me. A special thank you to everyone in the dining hall and a special shout out to, Evelia G., her energy, amazing smile, and loving personality touched my heart. I would highly recommend staying at the Beeman, soon to be known as the Mockingbird and enjoy a meal downstairs.
This place will be special after the renovation.
I’m Ambassador Elite with Marriott and the Beaman far exceeded expectations.
My room was great.
The staff was super helpful.
Their beef jerky is the best I’ve ever had.
LPs and record player in the room was a nice touch.
The collaboration with Lalo Tequila as a pop up bar during construction should be permanent.
I’ll be back this year
The hotel was very nice. It was (and still might be at the time of this review) still be going through some renovations (fyi).
My issues with the hotel is regarding the staff.
When I arrived I notice that valet had taken up the handicap spot at the front of the hotel with the hotel van. This is a no-no. When I walked in and approached the check-in desk, the girls working the front desk were talking amongst themselves and didn't look up at me for a few minutes. Then when they were assisting me, they barely made eye contact, didn't smile, made the interaction very awkward and unwelcoming. The next morning I was woken up with a knock on my door at 9am by housekeeping wanting to clean the room. I was baffled why someone would knock on the door at 9am when check out was 11am. The last item was I wanted to talk with a manger to share my experience. I was given a business card at the front desk because no one was available(?) to talk with and to contact them via the information on the card. I did contact them several times and no one returned any of my communication. The whole energy and experience was below expectations and disappointing as the lack of care for customers seem to be a systemic behavioral issue from all the staff including management. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
I was amazed the front desk had no cash to be able to make change for guests.
Makes it difficult to tip the staff.
Not sure how they would handle a guest that prefers to pay cash for stays.
The hotel inn general is good, clean, personal Polite.
The elevators were out of service, and the hotel did not provide any discount for this inconvenience. On New Year’s night, we had to use the stairs from a different side of the building, and no one explained this to us. Many people were confused. We were lucky that no one was using a wheelchair.
also additional charge for Discover Network-really?
The staff was wonderful. The room was nice and clean. The only downside was the renovation and temporary restaurant, so it's hard to judge the atmosphere. The location was convenient. Parking was expensive at $43.00 per night.
Convenient location, nice staff. Room was clean and not cramped. Their construction seems to be dragging on and it definitely affects the mood and appearance of the place (ripped carpet and shoddy elevator). They have one small weak microwave downstairs for an entire hotel to use which can cause a small waiting line to develop. Abundant breakfast Buffet and again kind staff.
Clean and neat. It was a pleasure. It was perfect for what was needed for business trip. I would stay here again.
The hotel was very nice. For me, the restaurant was over the top good. Great service and great food! I ate breakfast and dinner enjoying Mexican flavors that popped.
We were in town for a long weekend. The location worked great for our visit. Nice hotel that will be even better when the refresh has been completed. Great service in the temporary restaurant.
Hotel is under renovations but the rooms are fully updated and comfortable. Guest services personnel were friendly and accommodating.
Can’t wait to see it after renovations are complete.
Hotel was good but under construction. Was disappointed to not be able to get an hour late check out as a reward member. Accommodations and location was good
Once we learned the back way to walk to the Mockingbird station it was convenient to take public transportation everywhere. The staff were nice and the room was comfortable and clean. It was unfortunate that we were there before the lobby, bar, and dining room were done with the renovation. It should be nice when completed.
Still being renovated.
