Just off the Magnificent Mile on Michigan. Prices were very reasonable and the room was comfortable and clean, though pretty small.
No real complaints. It's quieter than being right on Michigan.
We dined at the Nix. Was very good.
Coffee machine was broken in room.
I stayed at the Knickerbocker during my time in Chicago and overall had a very good experience.
The biggest strength is definitely the location – it’s in a great spot just off the Magnificent Mile, within easy walking distance of the lakefront, restaurants, and transport links. For a first-time visit especially, it’s ideal.
The hotel itself has a classic, slightly old-school feel, particularly in the corridors and public areas, which gives it a bit of character rather than feeling overly modern or corporate. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a very good bed and plenty of space to relax. The bathroom was also well maintained, with a decent shower and good water pressure. Everything felt solid and reliable, even if not ultra-modern.
In terms of downsides, the hotel does feel a little dated in places, and if you’re expecting something sleek and contemporary, this might not be it. That said, it’s well-kept and clean, which matters more. Also there is a fair amount of outdoor noise (unavoidable due to the central location). Earplugs would come in handy.
Overall, I’d describe it as a comfortable, no-nonsense hotel in a brilliant location. Not luxury, but a very solid base for exploring Chicago.
We arrived late due to delays and even at after hours, the lovely lady gave us an excellent introduction to the hotel and Chicago. It was such a pleasant interaction after a long day of travel. The staff were excellent and very accommodating to our needs.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Had a great time at our stay! Adrian was really kind checking us in. Location was also convenient!
The staff is great and Andrian helped us a kot that too in the early hours of the morning.satisfied with our stay
We love staying at the Knickerbocker. The location is excellent and the staff is always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help. We are looking forward to the cafe and bar being open again!
I would say that the only negative would be that the pillows were very flat and we could not get the room to a comfortable temperature. We eventually shut the heating unit off all together.
The location of the hotel
Everything. The water in the shower was brown, the room was extremely small for damn near $500 , they charged a $200 fee and when I asked them about a refund they said don’t take cash
The room was ok
staff at the front desk … The female front desk associate was very rude horrible customer service terrible
床挺舒服的。
位置一般,距离海军码头、千禧公园都不算近,不适合观看跨年烟火。
Perfect location, great price and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the history and charm of the hotel.
I'm still waiting nearly a month later for my deposit to ge refunded. Otherwise I would've given 10/10.
Beautiful and classy
