The strikers in front of the hotel were very annoying

Room had cobwebs, had to cross picket lines to get in and out of hotel, very noisy, got charged almost $19 for coffee that we had verifies when ordering was free, when we went to pick up our bags we that were locked in a room we were shorted 1 bag. Our son who lives in Chicago had to drive it down to Indianapolis to us. Just a very overpriced and unorganized place that has several staff who talk sharp to guest. Will not stay here again

Where to start? The hotel is a bit old and looks dated. Rooms and elevators need some renovation. Showers not easy to use. The bed and mattress are old and noisy. There's also non-stop noise from the ventilation system coming from outside. Then there was a strike from staff (surely justified, all my support) which affected my stay: nobody came to make up my room in my 4-day stay. Staff at reception upon arrival was a bit cold in my view. For the price I paid (nearly 400 EUR/night), I expected much better and the services I got were not up to standards. I don't recommend this hotel for future users.

Las camas, estaban muy aguadas y un poco incomodas, habia manifestacion fuera del hotel y se alcanzaba a escuchar el ruido apaesar que estabamos en la parte de atras del hotel.

I had expected a kettle in my room to make myself tea (on Booking.com it was indicated that the rooms have both coffee and tea making facilities). Unfortunately there was only a small coffee maker in the room. Although hot water could have been obtained from the lobby area, that was not an option for me. I ended up buying a kettle from a nearby shop, but I would have preferred not doing so.

The hallways could do with some fresh paint and new carpets.

Unfortunately, some hotel staff were on strike during our visit, and the noise from the demonstrations, which started as early as 5:00 a.m. and continued until 7:00 p.m., was extremely disruptive. While I understand and respect their right to campaign for a living wage, it was disappointing that guests had to endure this level of disturbance during their holiday.

5 days without Cleaning the Room! They had a Union riot of their employees during the Chicago Marathon time. Awfull expirience.

There were strikes by the hotel staff whilst I was staying which was incredibly loud and disruptive. Woke me up at 5:30 every morning. The hotel were not sympathetic and did not offer compensation. There was no housekeeping services for my whole stay. Staff that weren’t striking were incredibly rude and unpleasant to deal with. There are plenty of other hotels in the same area for a similar price. I’d avoid this one

Strikers were allowed to start their noise at 5:30 am. We would have slept in. Awful. Realize it may have been out of your control

As a historical hotel, there are many features that could be highlighted, but the decor in the main lobby just seems to be muted. But number one dislike of The Hotel is the small bar in the lobby surrounded by large open spaces. If an investment was made to remodel the lobby and incorporate a historical themed large bar, they would knock it out of the park as their competition across the street has a bat cave for their historical bar instead of offering drinks in their beautiful, second floor lobby. The millennium has the advantage of light and bright first floor lobby with easy access to a bar.

Well, the facility was definitely clean. We felt like a couple extra pieces of furniture in the hotel room would have been nice. Our room had a random chair with no purposeful place. We moved it to the other side of the room and would’ve loved a small table next to it. Loved the artwork in the room!!

Carpet was dirty, front desk staff not helpful
