Location, location, location!
Pros:

The Aston at the Executive Centre is our favorite place to stay in Honolulu. We have stayed here several times and will be back. On this trip we needed to go to Queen's Hospital and we had to extend our stay. The staff was very accommodating and we were able to remain in the same room. We also weathered a Kona low storm here and it was a great shelter from the wind and rain. We loved having the 7/11, Paris Baguette, CU Hawaii at street level of the hotel.

Just what I needed!
Pros:

I chose this hotel due to its location near to the Queen's Medical Center.
Although the hotel is not particularly modern, I found that the staff more than made up for this by being extremely warm, friendly and welcoming. I had a harbour view room, which was large and self-contained with a kitchenette and dining area.
The only thing that I found slightly disappointing was the lack of a restaurant for breakfast. However I imagine that having a microwave in the room meant that it was based on a self catering concept.
Overall I had an excellent stay in difficult circumstances - my husband had suffered a Heart Attack and had been rushed to hospital during our, what was supposed to be, brief stop in Honolulu on our cruise.

the open nature of the entrance and meant that emerging up the escaltor to street level we were greeted with the smell of cannabis every morning - very unpleasant

Pros:

Checking was a breeze as they had everything prepared. Loved everything the elevator safety key pass. The entire hotel was very clean. If we needed anything extra, the staff was very polite in providing.

Disappointment
Pros:

Too much construction going on. The lighting was insufficient in a lot of areas in the parking garage. Used to work a block away and now Fort Street mall is a mess.

Great location near the Cruise Pier
Pros:

This is a very good hotel if you are going on a cruise in a day or two. It is minutes from the pier. It is in the business area, not the beach area.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pros:

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Booked 1 br suite with harbor view. TV did not work upon arrival but staff spent 30 minutes and got it working.

Cons:

Location is in downtown Honolulu in an area with homeless people. We stayed Thursday - Sunday. The bars must close at 2 am on Friday and Saturday nights because that was when we were awoken with screaming and police sirens. The advertised room had a much nicer view and amenities than the room we received. The hotel may be using the best rooms and views in their advertising. We did not venture from this location after dark. During the day we went to Ala Moana.

First time here and will probably use again.
Pros:

Good hotel within downtown area which is still close to many things such as Ala Moana shopping center and the Palace and the arts museum. There are some unfavorable people outside of the street but given its location its kind of expected. The room was great and big with a kitchen and washer/dryer in the room. Parking was also great with a dedicated reserved spot. Overall i was satisfied.

Great Stay...Friendly Staff
Pros:

It was a last-minute trip for a family emergency and the team at the hotel was very helpful and accommodating. They made me feel welcome and was able to change my reservations on short notice. the room was perfect and I will definitely stay here again.

Pros:

Location was very convenient to airport and Chinatown.

Cons:

Room was large but not necessary. Very industrial. Pillows were terrible, bedding and linens cheap. No character or decor to the room. Not worth almost $300.
