I Like How Nice And Greeting The Employees Were And The Spacious Room
Nothin
The rooms were of good size, beds comfortable
The breakfast could be updated
Friendly staff, overall clean rooms.
Shower area wasn’t the cleanest
Better than last time we visited. It is renovated now. Rooms are better than before. Location is perfect for Opry mills shopping
Staff nice. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Staff did not fix multiple issues. TV not working. Wi-Fi not working. Gym issues. Breakfast ok but no meat. Housekeeping only changed towels and garbage one of the three days we did not have the sign on the door.
Breakfast was very disappointing. Very limited options.

Staff was friendly
We enjoyed our stay, there was a bit of construction going on, it did not interrupt our stay, I was impressed with this. Beds and pillows are comfortable, staff is amazing.
Close to Grand Ole Opry and hotel had a shuttle one day it was not available.
They were renovating my concern was the dust air quality however it was just near the Lobby and elevators.
The staff was super friendly both in the evening and the morning.
I booked a room with double beds and got a room with a king and a pullout bed. This bed was extremely uncomfortable for my kids.
Breakfast sucked. Only catered to certain people.
Horrible experience. Noticed bed bugs in our bed on the last night. We were offered a downgraded room which we didn't get compensated for. The staff asked if I could prove these allegations by showing bite marks on my body. She said it was nothing she could do since we booked through a party. Worst hotel we've experienced. We stayed in room 524 and was moved to 519
The beds are super comfy!
The property was under heavy construction which wasn’t disclosed at the time of booking. They also gave our room that we booked away and put us in a smaller room. When we arrived they said we could take it or they could cancel it and we could book elsewhere. It was 8:30 PM.
The hotel was under active construction. I was originally booked into a room, but when I arrived, there was no bedding, furniture was not installed, and small appliances were placed in a giant bag. The room was definitely not ready. Then the elevators broke down. Power went out multiple times. Water heater broken for 2 days. No housekeeping done in my room for 4 days. Breakfast was ok. The staff was pleasant. I do not plan to stay here again.
For 3 nights, the total price came to appx. $500. Staff was friendly upon arrival. Rooms are spacious. Beds are a little firm, outside pool was warm and clean. Under some renovation, especially on the first floor, however it was quiet later in the day. Breakfast is free, parking was well lit. Appx 10 miles from airport. Overall, pleased.
no pool
If you are planning a trip to Nashville, especially for a convention at the Gaylord, do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else. My stay at the Hyatt Place Hotel Opryland/Nashville from July 6th to July 11th was such an unmitigated disaster that I checked out early.
This hotel charges premium rates while delivering a sub-hostel experience, completely failing to provide the basic amenities they advertise.
The Safety Hazard: Broken Room Phones
Your room phone is your direct line to help in an emergency. In my room, the phone was completely non-functional. When I tried calling the front desk, they couldn't hear a word. Their "solution"? A front desk attendant had to physically walk up to my room just to ask why I was calling. If I had experienced a medical or safety emergency, this system failure could have been catastrophic. It is a massive liability.
The Shuttle Bait-and-Switch (And a Hilarious Excuse)
I specifically booked this hotel because they advertised a complimentary shuttle to the Gaylord Convention Center. Upon arrival, I was told the shuttle was non-operational. When I asked why, staff informed me that the shuttle driver had gone into labor. While I wish the driver a healthy delivery, pregnancy lasts nine months. The fact that management had nearly a year to plan coverage for a key advertised amenity and instead just let the service collapse is mind-blowing.
• The Cost to Me: I had to pay out-of-pocket for round-trip Uber rides to the convention center for four straight days.
• The Hotel’s Response: Absolute silence. The hotel made zero effort to reimburse or compensate me for these unexpected transit costs.
No Orange/Apple Juice, No Warning, and Filthy Facilities
Deceptive Construction: The hotel completely failed to advise guests beforehand that they were undergoing construction.
• Filthy Elevators: The elevators were constantly disgusting and covered in grime.
The "Complimentary" Breakfast Joke: I selected this hotel partially for the complimentary breakfast. As someone who does not drink coffee, I rely on juice. For three out of the five days of my stay, they served absolutely no juice. If you can’t manage to keep juice in stock, don’t market a "breakfast included" rate.
Absentee Management: Kirstan Luttmann
The absolute worst part of this experience was the total lack of accountability. The General Manager, Kirstan Luttmann, was completely absent.
• She was not onsite for the entire duration of my stay (July 6th – July 11th).
• I have reached out via both phone and email to address these severe gaps in service.
• She has not cared enough to return a single call or reply to a single email.
Final Verdict
I am a World of Hyatt Member and have stayed in Hyatt Hotels at various levels around the world. This property is plagued by filthy facilities, broken safety equipment, nonexistent communication, and a management team that hides from its guests. Save your money, protect your safety, and stay elsewhere.
My daughter and I had a good experience at this hotel. As a World of Hyatt member, it is what I expected from a Hyatt Place property. The hotel is undergoing renovations on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and only has one working elevator. If you want to stay in a newly renovated room, request a room on the 4th or 5th floors.
