Howard Johnson by Wyndham Columbus State Fairgrounds I-71

The bathroom was dirty when we checked in. I talked to the front desk guy about it and he said those are stains. I had to go buy cleaning products and clean it myself. It was terible I don’t recommend it to anyone!!

In their property page, they state they have a gym and a pool, of which both weren't available! They advertise that breakfast is free, but there is no warm food, only cereal, coffee, toast & oatmeal. We had to change rooms immediately upon arrival, because the room had not been cleaned. Overall, the whole facility was unclean and smelled bad!

The room was covered in splattered paint/marker. There was "game" cards covered in dust above the lamps, smoke detector coveres in plastic bag. No towels or washcloths, 1/2 roll of toilet paper. Door looked busted/pried open. Deadbolt wouldn't lock. Outside had homeless persons clothes around the trash cans, dumpters, looking in the windows was mattresses stacked up in the hallways.

The staff here are great; very helpful and accommodating when need be. I have stayed here numerous times and will again. Yes the hotel is dated and some parts are a little run down, but it’s plenty passable and a comfortable stay. Great price as well.

This hotel was trifling! I booked a hotel

We checked in at the front desk. Smell was overwhelming. We were in the room for about 4 minutes. Food, crumbs, cut up pills on the floor. Stains on the walls. Bugs behind the nightstand. Clumps of hair and garbage between the mattresses and box spring. We immediately asked for a refund and left. Environment completely unsafe.

The property seems to have been either out of service for years and just reopened again, or allowed to run into the ground with zero maintenance. There's obvious and severe decay in everything from furniture, stained carpet, broken shower head, rusty microwave, mirror removed from wall and kept in a corner, and the list goes on and on. The wallpaper is simply peeling off of walls and ceiling, half of the dining room being used for storage, and an offensive musty smell all over the place. The only good thing is the staff who seem to be doing their best under the circumstances. I'm told this place is scheduled for a complete reno. Maybe they should shut it down, renovate and then reopen once it's ready to house guests again. Pictures in the ad are probably from its prime, the place is nowhere even close to it anymore.

Couldn’t get any sleep. Divider door of the facility was next to my room and was being slammed every three minutes all night. I didn’t bother staying. Bathroom sink leaked like crazy, building had some minor damage on the doors and walls as well.

Room smelt like smoke, mold in the bathroom, and the AC unit was broken. Hallway smelt like mold and smoke. Furniture was damaged, was nothing like shown in the pictures.

An awful, dirty environment. Room was unvacuumed, sheets had cigarette burns and even ashes (non-smoking room!), trash found under the bed, and a cockroach crawled across my bed on my last morning!

Nothing like the pics on hotels.com. First time I used the deadbolt on a hotel door because I didn't feel safe. The hull was filled with hiphop music from a room at the end of the hull. The carpet was covered in stains. The walls had holes, including a bullet hole. I learned to alway look at the rating of a hotel before booking a room.

The outside of the property was overgrown. The outside doors to the different hallways couldnt be opened from the outside. The first room we got didnt lock, had stains and hair on the sheets. We got a second room qhich was a little better.

Will very unsafe. Didn't want to leave my car unattended in the parking lot or my luggage unattended in the room.

This property was so offensive that we didn’t even stay. The smell of cigarettes was absolutely disgusting! All amenities were marked out of order. The entire campus was dirty and unkempt. I’ve never been in such a disgusting hotel! I didn’t even ask for a refund. We just left the keys and got out of there. 100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

The place was so dirty that I had to book another hotel so didn’t use the hotel and I request a full refund for the hotel room like you see I booked a hotel through the Expedia app

Roaches on the wall and in the bathroom terrible. Beds would not stay here again

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in, dirty, bloody towel on yhe bathroom floor, tub had a black film in it, stay away
