Pros:

The location was perfect. I had a family dinner at the restaurant next door.

Cons:

I used the fitness center. The treadmill was not level. It needs a little adjustment.

Thanks for a great stay!
Pros:

The hotel was close to our event center. The traffic was light in the area. The property was clean and safe. Huge props to the man with the food truck out front!

Cons:

The breakfast was very good but I wish the hot items were more kid friendly.

Dirty and Unprepared
Pros:

We recently visited when going on an OSU campus tour. I was excited for the stay as the reviews were mostly great. Unfortunately, upon checking in, I was tempted to turn around, go back downstairs, and ask for a cancellation. The only reason we didn’t leave was because it was a little later in the evening, and we wanted to be somewhere close to the school. There was nobody at the front desk when we walked in, but I had the digital key on my app so we went straight to the elevator. The elevator does not require a key to go up to the rooms, which being in Columbus, I would have expected that additional security measure. The room smelled stale, not like the typical fresh hotel smell. I cranked up the fan in hopes of airing it out some. We always wipe down surfaces in hotel rooms, and this room resulted in very dirty wipes. Walls had splash marks, the light fixtures were rusty, the phone was dirty, the bathroom wall between the sink and the mirror looked like it never got wiped, the baseboards were dusty and dirty like they have not been cleaned, and the caulk around the shower was discolored. The blanket inside the sheets were yellow, discolored, and in dire need of being replaced. The heat and AC had trouble getting stabilized - but we made it through the night. The coffee areas had no half and half, so I asked for it, and was told they ran out. I also found out that the hotel was out of yogurt. These are two very basic items for breakfast, so I was surprised items were out. What surprised me most with the stay was that while the place was not ready to welcome guests to the typical Hilton standard, there were QR codes in the room and the breakfast area letting guests know that we can tip without cash. I’m not sure if maybe this hotel has certain rooms that have gone through a complete renovation, but unfortunately our room and experience overall put this one towards the bottom of the Hampton Inns that we’ve visited.

Cons:

Bathroom was dirty. Bed was super hard. Didn’t sleep at all could not get comfortable. People slamming doors in the middle of the night.

Pros:

Solid price and great overall stay. Though couldn't use the microwave.

Cons:

Was there during the storm and couldn't leave during the Snow Emergency, even the slightest discount would have been appreciated since it was literally illegal to leave.
