Ios Palace Hotel & Spa

Beautifully situated hotel on the mountainside of Mylopotas Beach. While the rooms are a little aged, they are relatively clean, comfortable and have great views of the bay. Contrary to the rooms, the public areas have likely been renovated and are very clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant service are very good and the breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff are very friendly and attentive. You can take the pool towels down to the beach (2 minute walk) where you'll find a variety of bars and restaurants. They offer free shuttle service to the port too.

Room always cleaned upon our return. Staff really friendly. Breakfast buffet really good. Really recommend this property.

We stayed at Ios Palace for 4 days in September 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment I started communicating with the hotel via email before our arrival, I was impressed by how responsive and helpful the staff were.

The location is fantastic—just a couple of minutes’ walk to the beach, which made everything very convenient. I was a bit concerned about the number of stairs at the property, but we were given Room #101 on the first floor, which was perfect and easy to access from the lobby.

Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and housekeeping came by daily to keep everything fresh and tidy. Since we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, the hotel kindly upgraded us. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, a fruit basket, and a lovely handwritten note—such a thoughtful gesture!

Room 101 is large and ideal for a family. It has one queen-size bed and 2 large sofa beds in the separate living room, and a stunning large balcony complete with a table, chairs, loungers, and a magnificent sea view. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and soaking in the scenery. The room didn't have a kettle, which would have been nice for making a cup of tea in the morning. Oddly, there were no tissues in the room either. An extra dresser would also be helpful, as drawer space was limited. There was a lack of coat-hangers as well.

The pool area is beautiful, a great spot to unwind.

We arrived by ferry, and the hotel arranged for their driver to pick us up, which was very convenient.

The bus to Chora town is a short walk from this hotel.

Breakfast was included and felt quite fancy, with a wide selection. However, my only small complaint would be that there isn't a self-serve coffee and tea station—you have to ask the wait staff for hot drinks.

One helpful tip: Ask the front desk to make restaurant reservations for you in advance. The popular spots in Ios get quite busy in September, and many don’t answer their phones or accept same-day reservation changes.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Ios Palace—especially for a special occasion.

If going to Greece, the island of Ios should be your last stop. It is very relaxing and a great way to unwind from all of the sightseeing.

Staying at the Ios Palace was fantastic! The hotel is waterfront and provides great views of the beach and swimming pools. Staff was very friendly and spoke English well. Knowing this was our last stop, we splurged at this hotel and got a room with a fantastic view with balcony. It was well worth it! The room was large, clean and has a good size balcony for evening wine overlooking the ocean. Our room was high up near the upper pool. The upper pool was much more quiet than the main pool which made for a much more relaxing atmosphere.

Restaurants are all within walking distance and there were plenty to choose from.

Staff was responsive when there was an issue with the AC. They came up right away and fixed the problem.

The hotel can also arrange transportation to and from the ferry port. The transport was waiting at the dock with our name on a sign which made him easy to find.

If returning to Ios, we would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed one night at Ios Palace, but it was truly an unforgettable experience for me, my wife, and our son. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived – the hotel is spotless, beautifully designed, and located right next to the beach.

The food was fresh, delicious, and served with care. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is relaxed and welcoming.

We stayed in one of the luxury villas, and it felt like a little piece of paradise. If you’re considering booking, we absolutely recommend paying a little more to enjoy this heavenly experience – it’s more than worth it!

And finally, the staff… just amazing. Everyone was so warm, friendly, and always smiling. They made us feel special, even though we were only there for a short stay.

I can only give this hotel three stars, which is a real shame as the location is absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, our classic room was very tired, grubby-looking, and in need of some TLC. On arrival, we were given minimal information — just where breakfast, the pool, and the bar were — and it felt like we were being rushed to our room, perhaps because we arrived late after the ferry.
During our three-night stay, no one from the staff checked in to ask how our stay was going or if we needed anything. The lack of customer service was very noticeable. The WiFi was also unreliable to the point of being unusable.
I didn’t raise these issues while there, as no one asked us and it didn’t feel like the opportunity was given. Sadly, I won’t be returning, and I will also be sharing this feedback with Trailfinders in the UK, who recommended this property.

We had a fabulous time at the iOS Palace. I only wish it was longer. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was always a delight and all the staff we encountered could not be more happy and helpful. They really went extra to make our stay a joyful one. I said to my girlfriends - if I disappear one day..... this is where I'll be - come find me!

iOS palace hotel was so welcoming , perfect location and amazing staff that after we left and went to our next island we missed it so much we went right back 3 days later !! I am not a big review writer but iOS palace deserves a great review !! Everyone !! And I mean everyone on the staff was fantastic !

This place was absolutely amazing! You couldn’t ask for a more convenient location—right at Mylopotas Beach, surrounded by charming boutiques, cozy cafés, and minimarts, with organized beaches just steps away. The hotel staff went above and beyond—always friendly, helpful, and eager to please.

Each room is uniquely designed, giving the hotel its own special character. One of the highlights is the fabulous pool that overlooks the sparkling water—it’s the perfect spot to relax. Breakfast is included, and the food is outstanding.

The pricing is very reasonable, and you truly get incredible value for your money. This gem in Ios is one I’d highly recommend!

We all had a wonderful time at IOS Palace. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There was nothing that the staff wasn’t eager to help us with. An Amazing place to stay!

The view and the stuff was amazing

Our Family booked into this hotel. Situated a stone throw from the beach Very pleasant mixture like between a hotel, motel and air b and b ! based on vibe and facilities offered. There is no real lounge and only an outside bar . Rooms apartment style and bit slack in cleaning times . Staff also said they short staffed !We had to call reception a few time to get more toilet paper ! Rooms comfortable and breakfasts nice on the terrace . Had lunch one day huge portions but quality only ok . Lovely pool area and outside bar . Reception staff super friendly and helpful.

It is really on the beach, so walk down from pool to beach is very convenient. The pool is beautiful with good chill music all day..... the breakfast is included and very good. The hotel is clean and rooms are relatively small. Each room with terraces that are very nice to the bay of the beach. The Staffs are very professional.

the bad smell from the pool area caused by sewage is happening sometimes.....the rooms are quite small and the floors looks a bit old. Over all the place is very nice.

Everything was great except for the bad odours that came around the pool and in our room the first two days

The view is stunning over the bay and the whole experience has been great.
Staff is professional but still makes you feel comfortable, the rooms are super clean and housekeeping is always able to make the stay extra comfortable.
Food is good and with a great variety, lunch, dinner or just a snack.
The breakfast is well organised with a wide selection of ingredients and choices.
It's has been a great vacation.
