Room on the first floor
Fresh water (water with lemon was not changed) and coffee in the lobby. No pool.
Lady at the front desk set on her phone entire day, it seemed to be a chore for her to help anyone at the front desk.
Liked the fireplace and it was clean
no complementary breakfast, the shuttle for the airport parked in the front so it made it hard for traffic to come and go from the hotel. There are MASSIVE potholes all throughout the parking lot. Keycards didn’t work to the side doors for easier access to our room where we had to park.
I twice emailed the General Manager, Mac Love, and copied in Ivy Hospitality, the ownership group, regarding issues with my stay on 7/16/2026, and I have heard NOTHING back. I had two nights of wrestling with my bottom sheet to keep it on the mattress since it was too small and two showers with water up to my calves because the bathtub would not drain. Communicating these issues to the front desk after night one, being assured that they would be fixed for night two, did not materialize. There are many options in the Columbus area for places to stay.
Good breakfast
Everything was great
Nice counter employees
The first room would never unlock for us, the second room they placed us in looked to have multiple blood stains on the carpet in front of the vanity, and on the base of the wall in the bathroom.
Positives first - comfy beds, nice blackout curtains for sleeping and privacy, quiet room location at the end of a hallway, and cold A/C. Not so positive - bathtub drain was broken, and we only got housekeeping service ONCE for a five-night stay, and only after I had to request it at the front desk. At checkout, the staff asked how our stay was, and I brought up the lack of housekeeping. They seemed defensive about it, saying that I probably requested "do not disturb," which I didn't. Then they said that housekeeping was done every other day (which would've been fine), and that once during a 5-night stay was appropriate. As they say, the math ain't mathing! Also, the parking lot on the side of the building was rough and full of potholes, concrete walkways were cracked and broken, and the trash dumpster was overflowing into the parking lot up until our last day there. Finally, there was no coffee in the lobby, although there was ice water and cups. For $174 a night, I expected a better experience overall. I wouldn't stay there again - better options for the price.
The hotel is in need of some repair. We moved several times due to issues. We don’t like being high maintenance . However - The air conditioning isn’t working properly.
The first room wouldn’t go colder than 78. The second room smelled of smoke. The third room was also warm. But we had to deal with it at that point. I normally would trust this brand. Haven’t had bad experiences. But this was a disappointing experience.
Convivence to airport
It would be great if muffins or bagels were available overnight for those who have very early flights.
I made a reservation at Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Airport in January 2026 for an April stay, as I had an event in the city requiring over 3 hours of travel. I wanted to ensure I had a place to sleep.
At 3:00 PM on the day of my reservation, I called the hotel to confirm my arrival time and was told my reservation was “all set.” I arrived at 4:00 PM, only to be told by the front desk agent, Nickeay, that there were no rooms available. When I explained I had a reservation, she responded, “Yeah, so do all of these people,” pointing to a lobby of about 30 other guests—also with reservations—who had no rooms.
With all other hotels booked due to events, I had no choice but to prepare for my event and sleep in my vehicle.
The next morning, I called to request a refund and was told a request had been submitted. I then spoke with a supervisor who said he would contact Booking.com (where I made the reservation) and gave me a case number. Ten days later, I still had no refund. When I called again, I was told the hotel had no authority over Booking.com. I then contacted Booking.com directly and learned that no one from the hotel had ever reached out—despite what I was told.
After a lengthy call, Booking.com finally processed my refund.
This hotel overbooks on busy weekends and leaves guests stranded with no real support. Had I not followed up myself, I may not have received a refund at all. Very disappointing experience. DO BETTER!
