Fantastic Taipei
Pros:

We loved the breakfast because there were no MSG nor added soy sauce in foods. The choices of putting in your spices and dressing in your foods were fantastic for people with allergies and food sensitivities. I was so happy to find roasted chicken in natural beef broth and wine. Classy! I loved the natural chicken broth (whole chicken and ginger). It was better than our latest cruise food choices. The Makati Shangrila in Manila could learn from this.

Lovely hotel let down by poor horizon club service
Pros:

Nice hotel in a good location. However the staffing at the horizon club rarely seemed to know what they were doing. It cost me $200 in unused vouchers as I ran out of time on check out.

The best hotel we've ever stayed in
Pros:

Probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Extremely accommodating to our toddler. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to assist with a lost passport situation and paid the taxi when we didn't have any cash. Breakfast was truly phenomenal. Absolutely worth paying the price for.

Cons:

Needed some extra clothes storage space in our room.
