Cons:

無料アップグレードされたスイートは100平米ほどあり、３７階で１０１が見えるなど眺めも良かったが、浴槽の底の傷など若干の古さが見受けられた。また洗浄トイレのリモコンが使いにくい、音響の接続ができない、備品の補充の不足などで度々フロントに連絡をした。さらに、すぐ上階が0時まで営業のラウンジバーで、空調を通して演奏や歌声、騒ぎ声が夜中まで聞こえてきた。翌日フロントに連絡すると、結婚パーティだったとのことで、特段謝罪もなかった。チェックアウト時に今後のために再度伝えたところ、ルームサービスのサービス料とミニバーの水代合計で3,000円ほどを値引きしてくれた。最高級ホテルなのに客が眠れる静かな環境を提供するホスピタリティが欠けていると感じた。前回宿泊したプラザスイートの方が居心地が良かっただけに今回はがっかり。

Great hotel with mostly friendly staff, but poor drinking water in the room.
Pros:

Mostly attentive and friendly staff, especially in the club lounge.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent.
We enjoyed the calm and comfortable lounge for breakfast, with a well-balanced buffet and an à la carte menu.
The room was very quiet, and the air conditioning was well controlled, allowing for very good sleep quality.

Cons:

The only issue was the drinking water provided in the in-house glass bottles.
The taste upon opening was musty and sometimes unpleasant, so we had to buy bottled water from a nearby FamilyMart, even though we fully support Taiwan’s sustainability efforts.
At the InterContinental Kaohsiung, the drinking water was excellent. It is disappointing that this is not at the same level here, considering the price per night.

Another issue was the screen in the bathroom, which extended over the edges of the sink. We removed it temporarily.

Outstanding Staff and Amazing Room – Better Than Grand Hyatt! Taipei
Pros:

I recently stayed at the Shangri-La Far Eastern Taipei and had a truly wonderful experience from the moment I arrived.
The front desk staff was exceptionally professional and friendly. He greeted me warmly upon arrival and took the time to thoroughly explain all the benefits that come with my Amex Platinum card. The check-in process was smooth, efficient, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. The hotel staff in general were very attentive and helpful throughout my stay.
The room itself was amazing — extremely spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious, and the overall quality and attention to detail were outstanding. Everything felt fresh, modern, and well-maintained.
I was particularly impressed with the level of service and the hotel’s facilities. After comparing it directly with the Grand Hyatt Taipei, I can confidently say I will 100% choose Shangri-La Far Eastern next time I visit Taipei. The combination of excellent room quality, thoughtful service, and great location makes it a clear winner in my book.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in Taipei. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable!

Einen sehr guten Start für unsere lange Reise😊
Pros:

Das Shangri La liegt in der Mitte von zwei MRT‘s, die beide in ca. acht Minuten erreichbar waren. Mit der Easy Card war das eine wunderbare Sache.
Das Hotel selbst hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten.
Besonders vorherheben möchten wir die Lounge und ihre Mitarbeitenden, besonders Anita. Sie besorgte uns Bahnbillette und löste ein Problem das wir hatten, rasch und zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit. (Nochmals herzlichen Dank) Die Lounge können wir nur empfehlen. Es war wunderbar, das Frühstück in Ruhe und mit Blick auf den 101 Tower zu geniessen.

Die Stimmung in der Lobby, die Lounge oben mit dem Angebot für kleine Snacks und tagsüber Tee Kaffee Kekse etc. ist vielfältig und hochwertig.
Ein besonderes Highlight ist der Pool, der gut beheizt und großzügig oben auf dem Dach platziert ist. Er bietet Blick über die Stadt und auf den Taipeh 101.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und mit vielen kleinen Stationen und Angeboten sehr abwechslungsreich, zum Teil allerdings sehr laut und unruhig… Wenn man die Lounge bucht, hat man allerdings die Möglichkeit, oben in Ruhe zu frühstücken in kleinerer Runde.
