If we are ever in SLO again we would DEFINITELY prefer to stay at this hotel and have already recommended it to friends
Pros:

Cleanliness, fresh & comfortable beds & pillows, nice bath towels (though lacked enough towel rings/hooks on which to hang them). Great accessible roll-in shower with properly placed shower handle & hand-held shower head as well as shower bench. Would be helpful & safer if the shower chair/bench had side handles.
Great water pressure too.
Also spacious layout of guest rooms allowed for easy movement around luggage.
We felt welcomed, safe.
Staff very pleasant, helpful.
Breakfast options & varieties were great!

Dedication to great service.
Pros:

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Everyone wanted our stay to be really nice. Gym was clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly - it was really nice to experience this level of guest care.

Cons:

didn't like a parking fee - there was a very large lot and it felt like a money grab. the room had trash in it when we arrived - staff could have checked a little better. One of the shower soaps was empty when we arrived. It was inconvenient to find that out in the shower. However, when I called they arrive within minutes to fix it!

Would definitely stay there again!
Pros:

We had great night's sleep and were close to bus line! Mall was nice and close! Loved the antique cars on display the weekend we were there! The Farmer's Market in parking lot was great people!

Great place to stay
Pros:

I attended a conference at this hotel. The room was large and comfortable, conference food was great and you can't beat the breakfast and evening reception. Great place to stay while in the area.

Hilton should be ashamed of this property !!

Checked in and checked out !!

Lobby stale and smelled like cigarette smoke. Elevators were even worse!

Carpets in hallways looked as though they had never been cleaned.

Room dated and not at all clean. Curtains dirty and torn.

And the very worst was that the suite they assigned (which was the largest and most expensive in the hotel) was immediately over the freeway. Let alone any possibility of sleeping with the noise I had to go into the bathroom and close the door to be heard when making a phone call.

How Hilton could associate their name with such a cesspool is not clear to me.
