Beautiful and upscale
Pros:

Location was great, staff was lovely, breakfast was superb, room was beautiful and comfy.

Cons:

Elevators could be tricky. We upgraded to oceanfront room and while the view was lovely, being on the Main Street was LOUD! It was like a party at night, two nights we had people on a microphone talking and singing the praises of Jesus late into the night. Not the hotels fault, and still could not beat the view from our balcony, but light sleepers might be disappointed.
The pool servers could be a little more attentive. We waited quite a while, sometimes in the rain and win, to be helped by the pool. The pool food was delicious but the menu was limited.

Ok, but not with the money.
Pros:

Bed was comfortable, lobby was beautiful, biggest fish tank I have ever seen, really nice breakfast and staff at breakfast was amazing and very welcoming. Nice ocean view.

Cons:

First impression, not good, 4 people working front desk, we stood for at least 5 minutes without even being greeted. Not the Aloha spirit I was expecting.
No real direction given for elevators , carpet was not the cleanest, small bathrooms, could hear a lot of street noise at night and someone on nearby balcony was smoking weed so being in the balcony was unpleasant. Not a 5 star hotel by any means but it was ok.

The location was amazing, the exterior of the resort was very relaxing.

Cons:

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. When we arrived, the room was not in acceptable condition. The sheets were dirty, the couch was visibly unclean, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the space. In addition, the refrigerator was not working, and the furniture was old, worn, and covered in noticeable scratches.

I have stayed at several other places in Waikiki that were more affordable and offered a much higher standard of cleanliness and overall quality. Given the price, I expected a far better experience.

We requested to be moved to a different room due to these issues, but I was surprised to find that I was charged for the change. I will be contacting management to have this corrected, as I find it completely unacceptable.

Overall, this experience did not meet even basic expectations.
