Overpriced
The property is beautiful. Staff is super friendly. We enjoyed the pool área beach location etc
Food qualiry and taste wasn't worth the steep price. Everything else was excellent. I wouldn't recommend dinning at the resort.
Good location and easy access to beach. The pool area is great (when we were able to use it which was an issue due to it being booked for private events two days during our stay). The staff are excellent. This was our second year staying here.
The pool area, specifically the square pool and bar in the rear of the property, was booked for private events and closed at 3pm on two days during our 4 night stay. Meaning guests of thr hotel could not use it. There was no prior notice of this at time of booking. I found out the pool area was going to be closed only because of a paper sign at the desk when I checked in. The sign said it was closed Monday. I thought to myself, okay I can deal with one day. Then on Wednesday we go back to try to use the pool area and are told we can't because of ANOTHER private event. This was a huge disappointment because the pool area is one of, if not The, biggest reason we chose this hotel. It is featured in all of their marketing images and they are aware this is one of their main draws. I can't even imagine if I was one of the guests sitting at the pool who was asked to get up and leave so the event could set up.
We stayed here last year the same week in April and had no issues with access to the pool. We chose to return here based on our positive experience last year. But this time we paid the same price as last time (too much for this honestly) but we didn't have access to a major amenity and selling point. No prior notice at time of booking or anything.
Aside from that, the construction at the neighboring property is still going on as it was a year ago. It is very loud and annoying. I don't expect this property can do anything about it but it goes towards the issue of whether this property is worth the price tag for the experience you get in return. It's unfortunate that the construction is happening and is outside their control but the reality is this isn't nearly as relaxing or enjoyable as it should be for the cost. One thing they can control is the price they charge and I don't think they are discounting their rate due to the noise. Last year we had a room on the far side as fare form the construction as possible for an ocean view room.

A little dark feeling
It’s just very beautiful and historic. Great location and very helpful staff!
Nothing!
Love the swimming pool, tapas restaurant, cabanas overlooking the pool, friendly and professional staff, 1939 art deco hotel
I stayed at the National Hotel during Miami music week. I truly cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Music week is an extremely busy time for Miami and typically staff can be overwhelmed and understandably stressed out. Everyone at the National from the housekeeping, bartenders, valet, bellhops, desk staff to upper management were extremely kind, accommodating, and made our trip extra special. Shout out to bartender Margherita, who is a gem, and especially to GM Yaser, who truly went above and beyond for us even though he didn’t have to. Thank you so much for making our weekend one of the best Miami trips yet!! Can’t wait to return. 10/10.
We had such a wonderful experience at the National Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to Flavio at the bar. He is, without a doubt, one of the most hospitality-driven individuals we’ve come across. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely at ease. Flavio truly elevated our visit, and we will absolutely be back because of him.
The week we went we were not allowed to access the pool unless we paid around $150 dollars. I asked multiple times if we can get a credit for the resort fees or just anything and just got back rude responses
