John at the front desk was so helpful, friendly and always there for what you needed or asked about. The Hyatt was situated among so many eateries.

Ok, but house keeping does not like to work Rooms are clean but bed is not very comfortable. Same breakfast every day. Next time will try someone else.
Great quiet location in proximity to all the theme parks. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Breakfast is complimentary and can get a little crowded at times. Tvs do not have streaming services but you can cast from your mobile. Which was very easy. Highly reccommend this hotel.

My first time at this particular Hyatt Place and I'm a Hyatt Reward Member and Credit Card holder. This was THE best Hyatt Place I've stayed at in regarding to customer service: HIGH on my list besides a stellar room to stay in. Phillip Jones II (the assistant GM) was incredibly knowledgeable and informative in explaining to me all the perks of my "new" Hyatt Place credit card. Super helpful because I had not idea, been a "new" card member. He was incredibly kind as well, greeting everyone whom arrived with a jovial smile and greeting. My room as wonderful, as always, and since I require a small "waiting room" (with a sofa and small divider) THAT is why I stay at Hyatt Places ONLY. I love their rooms! The beds are always comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and modern, the breakfast is amazing (a complimentary buffet offering everything from eggs to omelettes to bacon, waffles and so much more). I'd highly recommend this one in Orlando due to price, location and this outstanding customer service. Keep up the great work Phillip and staff. You are running a well-oiled machines of an establishment. A+
rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel other travelers should know what happened.
I stayed at Hyatt Place Orlando/Lake Buena Vista with two elderly family members and my 1-year-old son. The second night of our stay was my son’s first birthday, and what should have been a special family celebration turned into one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
At approximately 10:30 PM, the toilet in our room (Room 220) became clogged and flooded the bathroom. Water spread throughout the bathroom and outside the bathroom door, creating an unsanitary and unsafe situation.
I immediately contacted the front desk expecting maintenance to come immediately or for us to be moved to another room. Instead, the front desk manager, Tatiana, handed me a plunger and told me to unclog the toilet myself.
When I explained that this was unacceptable, I was told:
* There were no other rooms available.
* There was nothing else they could do.
* I could leave if I wanted.
* The only option was to submit a request for a one-night refund, with no guarantee it would be approved.
As a paying guest, I should never have been expected to repair the hotel’s plumbing myself. I was never offered another room or any immediate solution.
This wasn’t the only issue. Throughout our stay, customer service was extremely slow. Every request took hours, often requiring multiple phone calls or a trip to the front desk because no one responded. On top of that, the Wi-Fi barely worked, making it difficult to use our devices or plan our vacation.
After spending hours trying to get help, I had no choice but to leave with my family and book another hotel at the last minute. Because it was so late, I had to pay a much higher price. We didn’t check into the new hotel until around 1:30 AM.
Instead of celebrating my son’s first birthday, we spent over three hours dealing with a flooded bathroom, packing our belongings, searching for another hotel, and paying additional money because the hotel failed to provide a clean and safe room. The hotel completely ruined my son’s birthday night.
I have attached photos of the flooded bathroom, the towels we used to contain the water, and the plunger that was handed to me instead of sending maintenance. I also have videos documenting the incident if Hyatt would like to review them.
The location of the hotel is convenient for Disney, but unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our stay. Customer service, response to a serious maintenance issue, and overall guest care were far below what I expected from the Hyatt brand.
I sincerely hope Hyatt investigates this incident and improves how situations like this are handled. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Hyatt Place Orlando/Lake Buena Vista.
