The hotel would kindly request that all children are supervised by an adult at all times. Children 16 years and younger are only permitted to use the indoor pool from 9am to 2pm.

Please note that the outdoor pool is open from May to October, depending on weather conditions. The Hotel Grande Bretagne is a non-smoking Hotel therefore smoking is not allowed in the rooms, bars, restaurants or any public areas of the property.

Guests are welcome to check-in at 3pm. Check-out is at 11am, though the hotel is pleased to accommodate late check-outs upon request. In the case of a late check-out before 6pm, an additional half day rate will apply. For check-outs after 6pm, a full day rate will apply.

Hotel Grande Bretagne participates in the Greek Breakfast Initiative by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Lovely Central hotel. View from the hotel outstanding at night from the room and for breakfast on the top floor. Rooms are a little dated but matches in with there theme and hotel. Pleasant staff... you can walk straight to the shopping area and lots of sights around

It is not as good as it was last year.
Pros:

I like the location and last year when we stayed there the staff was nicer, the room was larger the view from the room was better and service was better.

Cons:

The room was too small. We were 3 people and the hotel knew this and put a cot in this already small room which made it horrible. The view from the room was terrible. I try to order a sandwich at the pool to take to my room and they would not allow it. They told me to go order it from room service, when I was right there at the pool. Last Summer we were there and we agreed to come back because it was great. But this year we decided we are not coming back. There are plenty of beautiful luxury hotels in Athens. It was a disappointment.

Luxe Stay
Pros:

We booked a suite for our last night in Greece as a treat. This hotel was so luxurious and had excellent service. We had left behind a pair of sunglasses on a tour and asked the driver to leave them at the hotel; I was a little worried that the hotel wouldn’t be able to keep track of this item that came before we had checked in, but they handed them to us and had it noted without our even asking. Loved the bedding and robes and other amenities in the room. The one disappointment was that they were renovating the pool so we could not enjoy that; I don’t think we were warned about that at the time of booking. Hotel is in an excellent location.
