My 10-day stay at Lotus was a wonderful and memorable experience.
The reception staff were always smiling and responsive. They also responded to my requests via chat.
Although the building was old, I was impressed by how well-maintained it was. The room was a good size for two adults.
We considered dining on the second floor a few times, but since they brought complimentary wine along with the meal, We ended up ordering room service several times instead. We enjoyed meals while taking in the view of Diamond Head and the ocean from the lanai.
One thing I thought uncountable was the bed linens had a slight body odor. I was using a bath towel as a pillowcase. The linen perfume placed by the bedside was too strong for me, so unfortunately, we couldn’t use it. Even so, the warmth of the staff really left a lasting impression on me. I would love to stay here again if I have a chance.
We stayed in room 624, slightly older style. This room had a partial ocean view, but the mountain view was actually more impressive. The bathroom was nice and big and clean. The bed was comfortable and the white sheets were very clean. Loved having coffee and a fridge as well. Restaurant was phenomenal as well.
The only thing was the price, I wish it would have been a little bit cheaper. For 1 night is was fine, but if we wanted to come back for more days, might not be as affordable.
The Lotus is in a great position at the Diamond Head end of Waikīkī, which is much quieter and serene due to the fact that it is opposite a Iolani park.
On my lanai I was visited by sweet tropical birds, watched the palm trees swaying, could hear and see the ocean as well as people enjoying the park. I had a corner ocean view room.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming, and beaches are within easy walking distance.
I ate at the restaurant one night and was really impressed with the service and quality of food.
On one of my morning strolls I saw a Hawaiian Monk Seal sunning themselves and learned a bit about the population on Oahu! This was a magic moment.
Room was spacious and clean, with the convenience of a microwave. Very happy with my choice and would definitely stay there again.
The staff was exceptional
The price for the room was high considering the age of the building
First time at this Hotel and pleasantly suprized with the location and amenties. The free bike and beach chairs are a nice touch. I'm not typically a huge fan of high rise hotels, but the room was very nice elevator wait was not an issue and the room and facilities were in great shape. Friendly and helpful staff too!
We experienced challenges with a Kona low and elevator issues; however, the staff was amazing. They were very friendly and always helpful. Great attitude and excellent follow through.
Katie, Rhiannon, Yoobi, Ella, Nikki were a fantastic team.
Lotus Honolulu is at a bit out of the hubbub of Waikiki, which is what we wanted. Be aware, though, that this means meal options close by are a bit limited (though available). It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the main part of Waikiki. The room was big, clean, and comfy. I think this is a great more-affordable but high-quality option.
We had a nice room with a balcony and sea view. I enjoyed the morning breakfast and the evenings watching the sea skyline. 😎 The only negativ points are the elevator. It was two times not working from 4 days. Hope they will repair it soon. And Breakfast is not available, but we got our own stuff in the little fridge. Coffee machine is perfect (Illy coffee). Water for tea you have to heat in the microwave 🤪
Awesome place to stay near Waikiki, ut not so busy. We found an awesome lunch place called South Shore Grill. Best food we had on the island. We walked as it was only 1 mile away. And the dining room accommodated 10 of us on short notice
I would stay then again!!
With three generations staying in three rooms, we had a lovely time. Great location, wonderful staff, great value. Mahalo! We'll be back!
The location is off the strip and quiet. This hotel is not on the beach but has access to two. The rooms are decent size with a fridge, microwave and coffee (no tea, small cups, no plates or silverware). They do have a restaurant but it does NOT offer breakfast. Also it is closed on Monday’s and was closed for a private event one evening. They do have laundry and other helpful things eg umbrellas. The staff was friendly. I wouldn’t recommend if you have kids or want things nearby. There is a convenience store next door but limited and pricey.
First, we love the location. We liked not staying in the middle of busy Waikiki and really enjoyed being across from the park and close to the beach. But the most important part of this Hotel experience was the Customerservice. Everybody was very lovely and helpful and it was clear they wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Look no further for a quieter and comfy stay in Honolulu. If you want to be within walking distance of the main strip and have views of Diamond Head with lovely amenities, this is the place to be. I liked bringing my family to the Living Room common area to eat plate lunches and play on the simulator. Guest services was lovely too!
I actually live right next to this hotel, but always put friends up here, and every once in awhile stay here myself. This time power was out in our building after the biggest storm since 1951 hit Hawaii. The rooms are large and comfortable and quiet. The staff is really great. FYI, it is not right on the ocean, the amenities are limited. Arden restaurant is only open for dinner and happy hour Wednesday-Sunday....I just had a birthday dinner there for 13 folks and it was perfect. The food, the staff, the wines. It's a classy place that makes you feel like family. Great Illy coffee service in your room as well. You can easily walk to the madness of Waikiki in about 20 minutes. I love this hotel.
A quality experience overall. The staff were fantastic and the food at the Arden exceptional. The elevators were ions, so the staff carried our bags up to our rooms and they also offered us discounts for the inconvenience. The location is great as you have great view of Diamondhead and close to the main drag without being in the center of the hustle and bustle.
Great location. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff.
Nothing, we had a great time.
Lovely hotel with beautiful spacious room and bathroom. Restaurant needs sorting out as not open most of the week and when it is very expensive, unwecoming and poor food. Thank you to Rhain, Yoobi, Katie,Vikki and Ella for there big smiles and helpfulness, always on reception to help.
We loved the Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head for its uniqueness & location. It is away from the busy Waikiki area yet in an excellent quiet location. We especially appreciated the charming unique character of the hotel! The room was more than ample size & very nicely appointed. Also, we felt that the hotel was a great value. We ended up staying in the same exact room that our son & daughter in-law stayed in two years prior (quite the coincidence). We would highly recommend staying at the Lotus Honolulu.
