Professional property host/manager
Beautiful location and rooms. Breakfast was ok. Good customer service and rooms large
We stayed at Jinja Nile Resort in June 2025 with a team of 30 international humanitarian volunteers. At 6:00 AM one morning, a hotel security guard escorted an intoxicated woman dressed in black lace to our private cabin and persistently knocked on our door for almost 30 minutes. We feared for our safety. The hotel later claimed this was a “mistaken room” and that some guests “request these girls.”
Despite multiple requests, we never heard from the General Manager. Only a Food & Beverage Manager responded—offering a mere $40 discount for what was an extremely disturbing and dangerous incident. With 10 of our guests booked through Expedia, this lack of accountability is unacceptable.
This property is not safe. The hotel’s handling of the situation was dismissive and alarming. We have formally requested Expedia to investigate what appears to be ongoing illegal activity and disregard for guest safety.
Poor service. Hotel not clean.
It was a very well kept property. Very clean, kind staff, good food & breathtaking view. Martha in the dinning room & the front desk lady were amazing.
It was a great stay, best for families.
Such a lovely place and so peaceful. Everything was wonderful and the staff are amazing. We will definitely be back again.
Ok view of the Nile. Poor dining options.
Beautiful view of the River Nile. Pool was closed for renovations and we were not in informed prior. Friendly staff and excellent food.
Everything was great. The staff are very friendly and housekeeping was great as well. The restaurant food was great as well as the included breakfast. My only complaint is that the pool area was under renovations. I wish that would have been advised at the time of booking. But, it needed to be done and in a few weeks the pool area will be completly remodled for the summr guests.
It’s right at the Neil river, very good staff.
The staff are very pleasant but not managed well. I stayed in two rooms due to problems with Wifi and A/C. Housekeeping is inconsistent - either lacking a checklist for each room changeover or the team leader is not checking. Reception says they will do something then forgets; remind them bt they don't call back. I then discovered that the team does not keep a logbook - a basic of hotel front desk management. The phone number of hotel sent with reservation is no longer their phone management did not update the listing. The phone on Google no one picked up during nine calls I made form 8 pm to 10 pm. So many maintenance issues I can't list them here. One example -cracked tiles, big ones, around the swimming pool - a hazard to guest's toes but again shows no management leadership. In its day it was a four start but has sunk to a three star product.
Dirty room, mattress old, service not good at all.
Beautiful place
Loved the gardens. The staff was helpful and polite and the food was good .
The rooms could use an update though.
The chef knew what his job is means and he/she did a perfect job
It was clean and breakfast was well diversified and staff was good.
I had a wonderful stay at the Jinja Nile Resort! I thought the food was very good, the place was clean, and the rooms were very nice. I slept great here because it was quiet and the AC worked unlike other places I stayed. The staff here were unbelievably helpful. I had an unexpected emergency and they had to take me to the hospital for an overnight stay and bring me back. They were very caring and helpful. I highly recommend this resort!
Good
Check in was extremely poor - when our tourist van drove up to the entrance, there was no doorman/valets to greet and help with luggage which had to be dragged down a few steps and a long entry way. Worse yet was the check in staff - a woman working on the computer who did not even acknowledge our presence and kept us waiting about five minutes. She SHOuLD have had the courtesy to say hello and excuse the fact that she had to finish something.
Then, the “Nile view room” had a large wide tree in the middle of the view! Tried to change to a better room but was too not offered another less than optimal view so stayed put.
What was great was the housekeeping staff and room service. Housekeeping was very helpful, bringing a hair dryer, tissues and extra soaps. Room service was also great creating a custom drink!
