Not clean at all

This hotel has 3 branches. Unfortunately, we were placed inside a hotel other than the one in the pictures and it does not have the same quality. Also, the first time you open the room you find the bad smell.

Poor WiFi (internet)
Their service are too expensive like more than double of the normal price, apart from that's every other things are good

Position side of this hotel is, it is situated on nice location -Tahrir Square.

Building is very old and no one will like the entrance at the ground floor as area is not clean - dust, garbage. Elevator is very old. No lift man or any one to help to go up for the first time. So, I needed to climb up to 7th floor with stair case. They provided a big room. But, furniture of the room need maintenance. No complimentary drinking water. I booked the room with breakfast. but, they can only serve breakfast after 9 AM as they buy from local shops. We would not stay on this hotel in future.

Avoid at all cost! I arrived late in the day only to find out that they did not have my pre-paid room available. Just hours before my arrival I had whatsapped them to make sure that everything is fine and they lied to me saying my room would be waiting for me. When I arrived, they said they have no room and would give me a room in a sister property which looked much worse. I asked them if they can organize a stay in a nicer hotel and they refused. Just to make sure: I had a confirmed reservation, just saying this again! Also, the lobby looks not even close to what they show online. Avoid at all cost.

Staying at Grand City Hotel has been home away from home. When we arrived it was midnight or later, our taxi driver had some trouble finding this location but after giving him the hotels phone number, he found it with ease. Sharrif (the receptionist) came outside to met us at our taxi. He was super happy to see us, very friendly and spoke excellent english. We checked into our room. The room was cozy. Air conditioner and TV worked. Hot shower with great pressure and a very comfortable bed. The next morning we explained to Shariff what we wished to do while in Egypt. He became so enthusiastic, explaining that his boss (owner of the hotel) is a ex-travel agent and has alot of connections. Not long after that he was taking us to meet his boss. We ended up getting our dream trip package for a EXCELLENT price!! When we returned Sariff had us some homemade Egyptian breakfast! I highly recommend staying here! We will definitely be staying here when we return to Egypt!

I consider this hotel is my home in cairo. The no.1 for all the 3 i stayed in cairo. The hotel is very near Tahrir Square, food shops, fast food, coffee shops nearby. Even I travelled other cities of Egypt i keep coming back here. Because of the staff are polite, friendly, trustworthy and I feel safe in the hotel.
Main points I look for a hotel is cleanliness, good comfortable beds and hot strong shower (you dont have to take time just to take shower, the water is strong).
Their laundry is a little higher to the previous hostel i stayed, but tiptop cleanliness and smell really nice, you pay right price. Other hostel they wash your clothes inside the building so its not really dried and smell like "wet stored clothes".
They have kettle, small fridge, cable tv with english movies (MBC 2 i think), the internet is good enough. They provide towels, soap and tissue paper. They will respect your privacy and make sure you have a pleasant stay.
The presentable room and toilet is nice and clean. Same as picture on the their hotel photos 🙌
Ask questions they will help you as much as they can. They help me also with ordering food coz some drivers dont speak english.
Maybe the ground floor to elavator doesn't look appealling but you are safe in the hotel and the level floor very clean.
This is downtown Cairo, so noise from the road will be normal, but the hotel a quiet place to stay. Thank you Mr. Rouf, and to all the staff of Grand City Hotel 🙏.

Very hospitable staff, welcoming, flexible. Accomodation is convenient for short stays. Very good value conisderIng the price. Mr Ahmed is very helpful, attends to any inquiries and finds prompt solutions to any inconvenience.
