A decent place to stay but the management have to improve their breakfast and service.
Pros:

It’s a good location in a pleasant small town. Our room wasn’t large but fairly well appointed and adequate for a one night stay.

Cons:

A disappointing overcooked breakfast, apart from the poached eggs. We kept having to ask for additional items: hot water for the tiny teapot, butter for the toast and marmalade which couldn’t be found at all.

Enjoyable Overnight Stay
Pros:

We booked an overnight stay to break up our onward travel to Scotland. On our arrival, the welcome was friendly, the evening meal and (included) breakfast were both great, and our room (Room 1) was very comfortable and quiet. We had absolutely no negative experiences during our visit, and will stop at the Pickled Parson again the next time we travel up. Thanks to Matt/manager, Lorraine/breakfast service, and Lawrence/bar service for an enjoyable stay.

Great gem of a stay, would return and recommend.
Pros:

Great central location, very friendly and helpful staff on arrival, and room was nice. Very comfortable bed and room, nice decoration, and good access for after-hours/late access. Lots of free parking on the street. Breakfast pre-order was good, tasty food and coffee.

Cons:

Room was a little on the small side, OK for one person, but would advise you ring ahead if you're concerned about access. Shower controls a little tricky/stiff, but not an issue.

Pros:

Good location, clean, nice, simple decoration which I liked - fabulous breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

A bit cold, coming bad late meant I came in the back way which was a bit dark and confusing

Rooms Needs a spruce up!
Pros:

Good location, comfy bed and a good price. The bar man was very helpful.

Cons:

My room was really dusty especially the bathroom which needed a refresh. Having to order breakfast the night before is irritating, also the choice lacked fresh fruit and yogurt. There was a wide void breakfast choice.

Enjoyable stay in a lovely locations. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Pros:

The location was in the centre of Sedgefield near the local shops and pubs. There is a farmers market the first Sunday of every month, which was a nice surprise. We had been asked to pre order breakfast which was fine and the breakfast itself was lovely. I would recommended the full English Breakfast.

Cons:

There was not anything we did not like.
