Hyatt Place Mystic

This may be a well run corporate mid-tier chain level of hotel but with the management and staff’s level of commitment to detail and care, it felt like a high level luxury boutique experience.
This Hyatt Place Mystic should be a model for how to run other Hyatt Places. The bedding, deliciousness of breakfast, great layout of the room, and excellent level of detail the staff put in to being truly hospitable made this head and shoulders above other Hyatt Place experiences.
The location just off I-95 but still off enough to feel serene was perfect. And you are in strolling distance to good restaurants. Ask the front desk for their list of suggested places to eat. It was a great list. We changed our dinner plans to Trattoria Amalfi thanks to that recommendation list and it was So Good!
Also: this hotel keeps its outdoor pool heated to 85F plus open until 10 pm in the summer, their bedding is so comfortable, the landscaping is beautiful and the property is so well cared for.
Whomever is in charge of this place is crushing it! I highly recommend a stay.

Our stay was great. The staff was welcoming, the room and all parts of the hotel were well kept and clean. Breakfast had a great selection and was good tasting and the dining area was nice too. It is within walking distance to the aquarium which was a great experience as well.

Very comfortable stay, clean rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful with a forgotten toothbrush. The breakfast was great, with a variety of hot and cold options. It was in an area convenient to downtown Mystic, the Mystic village shopping, and seaport museum. Twisters ice cream, a short drive away offered a nice spot for sunset. The room did have a small bathroom for the size of the room, and the bed was on the soft side. Would recommend.

Hyatt Mystic is extremely clean; staff very helpful; they go out of their way to make your stay fantastic. Also having coffee and tea available 24/7 in the check-in area a real plus.

Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was friendly. The amenities were great and the lobby sported modern decor. The breakfast was your standard hotel fare. We would stay here again!

The hotel is beautiful, our room was spotless and spacious (we had the double queen room with sofa bed) and the staff is wonderful. The room had a coffee maker (with ceramic mugs!), ironing board and iron, hair dryer, flat screen TV, full-size mirror, great lighting and plenty of room on the vanity to put our toiletries. The sink is outside of the room with the toilet and shower . Great water pressure and temperature in the shower. Complementary breakfast was served each morning and complementary coffee, tea, lemon water and apples were available in the lobby during the day. I love that the room did not have carpeting. The hotel is very close to Olde Mystick Village and the Mystic Aquarium. We were able to walk there, but note that there are some uphill parts on the route. We took an Uber to downtown Mystic. Very easy and only minutes away. Can’t wait to return.

The stay was excellent. Hotel was centrally located and close to local attractions.
The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very well equipped, beyond "Continental".

Clean, close to highway without being loud.

The whole team was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make my handicapped wife feel comfortable and made sure she had everything she needed while I was off site. What a huge help.

Hyatt Place in Mystic is a nice property. Rooms are bigger than average, with a sitting area and a desk, making it more comfortable than most. The room was clean and included a refrigerator and coffeemaker. The only odd thing is that the door to the bathroom/shower is so close to the toilet that you have to maneuver your way around before you can close the door. The location is within walking distance to Old Mystic Village with shops and restaurants and to Mystic Seaport. It is a short drive to the downtown area, which can have challenging parking, but it was nice being away from the more crowded area of Mystic. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Spur-of-the-moment getaway to Mystic and the Hyatt was a great choice. I wanted a change of scenery to catch up on some work and visit friends, and it delivered. I was upgraded to an upper-level room with beautiful views at check-in, the hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive throughout my stay. Loved the little touches like fresh popcorn in the afternoon, lemon water, coffee, tea, and apples in the lobby. Convenient location and an excellent value for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location, free parking, rooms large and comfortable with good amenities! Has a swimming pool. Staff fab and helpful. Free breakfast was nice!
