Wonderful. Would stay here again!
Pros:

Great location, breakfast was great- lots of choices Clean, comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Pool was nice

Little gem in Mystic, CT
Pros:

Very nice hotel located near everthing! Quiet, clean rooms, excellent breakfast (though just up until 9.00 am!). Includes nice amenities, though you spend the whole day out exploring the historic town and sorroundings. I would recommend the hotel, no problem.

Clean, dog-friendly, great location
Pros:

Was so happy to find this dog friendly hotel in a great location. Friendly, clean.

The hotel is near Historic Mystic, the museums and seaport.

Bed was very comfy and clean, and all were friendly to our labrador retriever

But the Hyatt Place brand seems to be consciously downgrading. Breakfast was terrible.

Hôtel à déconseiller !
Cons:

Nous avons réservé une chambre pour 6, en précisant bien que nous serions 2 adultes et 4 enfants. Et là, on nous donne une chambre avec 2 lits de 130cm et un canapé-lit de tres mauvaise qualite, sans couette ni oreillers.
Après avoir dit à la réception que nous trouvions cela très moyen, la standardiste nous a dit qu'elle était désolée mais ne pouvait rien faire.
Scandaleux de prétendre que cette chambre pouvait accueillir 6 personnes.
Résultat : le matelas du canapé lit était tellement mauvais que nous l'avons mis par terre. Et 3 d'entre nous ont dormi par terre sur des coussins. Un comble !
A aucun moment on a senti que l'hôtel était prêt à faire quelque chose pour aller dans notre sens. Sens du service client déplorable. Dommage !

Ok stay nothing special
Pros:

Compared to my stays at other comparable places this was disappointing. Breakfast was a repeat - same scrambled egg and some form of pork/ham, no yogurt, limited bread selection. On top of that available until 9 on weekdays, with limited main seating and extra seating in meeting rooms with no proper setup. Rooms were disappointing, flush that didn’t properly work until tried 2 times, AC setting were wonky, cleaning was ok but inconsistent, bed space smaller as sofa took most of the space. One of the elevators was not functional while 5 days of the stay.

Like a Luxury Boutique Hotel for its Hospitality Quality, Just Hidden in a Corporate Hotel Chain Body
Pros:

This may be a well run corporate mid-tier chain level of hotel but with the management and staff’s level of commitment to detail and care, it felt like a high level luxury boutique experience.
This Hyatt Place Mystic should be a model for how to run other Hyatt Places. The bedding, deliciousness of breakfast, great layout of the room, and excellent level of detail the staff put in to being truly hospitable made this head and shoulders above other Hyatt Place experiences.
The location just off I-95 but still off enough to feel serene was perfect. And you are in strolling distance to good restaurants. Ask the front desk for their list of suggested places to eat. It was a great list. We changed our dinner plans to Trattoria Amalfi thanks to that recommendation list and it was So Good!
Also: this hotel keeps its outdoor pool heated to 85F plus open until 10 pm in the summer, their bedding is so comfortable, the landscaping is beautiful and the property is so well cared for.
Whomever is in charge of this place is crushing it! I highly recommend a stay.

Pros:

Our stay was great. The staff was welcoming, the room and all parts of the hotel were well kept and clean. Breakfast had a great selection and was good tasting and the dining area was nice too. It is within walking distance to the aquarium which was a great experience as well.
