Staff responsiveness to my needs was sub par. They make you pay a third party and the staff was not helpful. I frequently stay at Hyatts all over the country. This time they missed the spots.

The staff was great, friendly, helpful, and always polite. The location is a big plus, super convenient and in a really good area. The room was also quite spacious for this type of hotel, which made the stay more comfortable.

Location was perfect for visiting universal parks and shopping centres. Rooms are spacious and we had a fabulous view of the icon centre from our room. Staff were excellent! Friendly and helpful. Just a short walk to some great restaurants, TuTu Tangos and Mia's Italian.

just a weekend getaway and met friends from another part of florida here as a central meeting point, nice location as far as proximity to icon park which is in walking distance as well as restaurants and universal city walk is just over I-4 for other entertainment and things to do.

In a nutshell, the Hyatt Place Orlando I-Drive Convention Center is the nicest Hyatt Place property that you will ever find; freshly renovated, in a great location with excellent staff. A great place for a quick and inexpensive stay in the I-Drive Area!

Now, for my detailed review:

I am extremely happy with my current stay at the Hyatt Place Orlando I-Drive Convention Center as this property appears to have been VERY recently renovated Gone are the old carpeted floors that you experience at many older Hyatt Place properties, replaced by beautiful laminate flooring and fresh new furnishings! While for personal stays I usually stay at the more-luxurious Hyatt Regency Orlando just down I-Drive, when that was not available for a recent work trip, I opted to give the Hyatt Place a try, as it was much more budget friendly for work purposes. I will admit, the lower rate did concern me as there is often a reason for such low rates, but I am very happy to report no issues at this beautifully renovated Hyatt Place property!

Located toward the North End of the I-Drive Corridor, the Hyatt Place Orlando I-Drive Convention Center is very conveniently located to Icon Park -- and, in fact, I had a beautiful view of the Orlando Eye and other Icon Park Attractions from my room. One can easily walk -- or take the convenient I-RIDE Trolley -- to the many attractions and dining venues on I-Drive. Overall, a great location for budget-friendly travel!

While this is not a "Resort" Style Property, it is still a great place for a stay on I-Drive. And, not being a "Resort," there is no associated "Resort Fee" like you will experience at most Orlando-area properties. But, due to its location in a high-tourism area, there is a parking charge of $20/day. This parking charge is handled via a QR Code and an independent parking company, but it is very easy to handle and is certainly less costly than many other locations in Orlando.

As for amenities, the Hyatt Place Orlando I-Drive Convention Center has all that you would expect of a Hyatt Place. Housekeeping is offered every other day and there is the usual "Placery" for Dining and "The Bar" for Drinks, offering excellent Happy Hour Specials. There is also the typical Hyatt Place Market for 24-7 grab-and-go items, as well as the typical Hyatt Place Breakfast that is Complimentary for all World of Hyatt Members. Finally, the property has an outdoor pool, much like that of most other Hyatt Place properties.

As for WiFi, like most Hyatt Place properties, WiFi is complimentary. However, unlike many other Hyatt Place properties, it was pretty fast, with speeds in the 15-20mbps range throughout the stay. Such speeds allowed for easy work-from-room connections, and also allowed for quick and easy streaming via the ChromeCast that has become standard at all Hyatt-branded properties.

Finally, a note on Guest Rooms at the Hyatt Place Orlando I-Drive Convention Center. As I indicated, all rooms have been very recently renovated and feature a warm and relaxing feel with blue hues. The bed felt like new, and the corner pull-out sectional couch that is typical of Hyatt Place properties was quite comfortable. Additionally, the rooms feature a renovated wet-bar with a large mini-fridge and a microwave. Numerous photos have been included with this review so that you can see how wonderful the renovations have made this property!

All-in-all, the Hyatt Place Orlando I-Drive Convention Center is an excellent and reasonably priced property that has recently renovated rooms and offers excellent service and staff. This is certainly a great place to stay for anyone on a budget that wants to experience all that I-Drive has to offer!

Stayed here on business. Huge hotel with crowds and lines everywhere. Front desk at check in obviously hates her job and shouldn’t be allowed to interact with customers. They literally ask you “would you like daily housekeeping?”. Ahhh you consider yourself a 4 star hotel and you ask your customers that at check in???? Figure other ways to save money!!! Good options in the early morning were pretty well non existent unless you want to wait in a line for 30 minutes at there grab and go. We ate at two of the restaurants at the hotel and both should send their executive chefs to be trained at Waffle House as they need to learn how to cook… does have a nice pool for kids and it is very convenient (5-minute walk) to convention center.

I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and in good repair. Good options for breakfast. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again.

night stay but this was a good hotel experience and I would stay longer in the future. Very good and easy checkin process. Great room size for a family of four. Clean room and clean facility.

Stayed here recently at this Hyatt Place; it far surpassed what I expected for the price! The hotel was impeccably clean from check-in to checkout—rooms felt fresh, modern, and spotless every day.

For the location, it's unbeatable: right on International Drive with super easy access to the Convention Center (short walk), tons of restaurants, entertainment, Epic Universe, and I-Drive attractions without getting stuck in crazy traffic. Perfect spot.

The value was amazing—no resort fees sneaking up on you, and the rate was a steal compared to nearby options. Breakfast was surprisingly tasty and fresh—better than your average hotel fare.

Check-in was the highlight: the front desk team member was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond. He gave us complimentary bottled waters, some thoughtful extra goodies, and even waived the parking fee as a courtesy for active-duty military (huge thank you for that—made a real difference!). Super welcoming and professional from the start.

The only tiny nitpick was the parking setup being a bit confusing at first (garage layout isn't the most intuitive), but once figured out, it was fine—and free thanks to the military courtesy!

Overall, 9/10 experience. The staff really made it special, and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend to anyone heading to Orlando—especially military folks or anyone wanting great bang for your buck.

Excellent location with recently renovated rooms right on I drive near the Orlando Convention Center, The Pointe Orlando, Orlando Eye, and Epic Universe!!! The staff was very courteous and professional. Great place to stay on a business and/or family trip to the Orlando area!!
