Enjoyed the stay. Rooms were lovely, quiet, comfortable and clean. The front desk was helpful and friendly - they left a nice little treat for the birthday girl in our room as well! While the restaurant was delicious, we did find our dinner takeaway salad was very small for the price. The spa was clean and soothing. Enjoyed the ritual aspect (though they were very hard to get into due to lineups and capacities). Though it was a little too busy for my liking, we were not able to enjoy the restaurant and a few of the different rituals, but overall a nice experience with gorgeous view.
Spa Review:
It's a nice feature that you can stay all day, and that there are free "rituals" available throughout the day; however, they do not seem to have a limit of how many people are booked in for the day, because by 2:00pm it felt incredibly crowded, and loud. If they do have a max number of people, I feel it should be reduced significantly. I was only able to attend 1 ritual because it was so busy and there were line ups at least 15 minutes before they started.
The day started out beautiful and relaxing, with delightful food. But we cut our day short because it felt way too busy and no longer relaxing.
I also wasn't sure if there were other places to get towels, we had to walk back to the changing room at least 3 times to get towels.
There were not a lot of signs up so people were not aware they needed to sit on towels in each of the rooms - again, another reason easy access to extra towels.
I would have appreciated a bit of a guide for the recommended way to use the pools, I know other nordic spas have that
I also would have appreciated the schedule of rituals listed in multiple places, and maybe a couple of extra clocks.
Positives:
- It truly was beautiful and relaxing while it was quieter
- The showers, and scrubs available in the changing room were delightful
- I loved the co-ed changing room, felt much more inclusive
- Great robes!
- Delightful food and great services in the lounge
Hotel:
The rooms were lovely, with comfortable beds. Definitely found the walls a little bit thin and could hear entire conversations that were happening in the hallway - I do reailze this is a part of staying in a hotel, but still.
First off - the views from the spa are beautiful from any vantage point. Unfortunately the gorgeous setting was ruined with overcrowding. We were there on Saturday Jan 31, 2026 and it felt like there were at least 50 too many people allowed into the facility. It was so crowded that we couldn't even go into most of the steam and sauna rooms as they were always full.
We had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes to get into a 'special' sauna session, only to sit in a room full of sweaty patrons packed in like sardines. The session was very unique, and we enjoyed the music and the different scents, however it was difficult to appreciate while having a stranger's sweaty leg rubbing up against you.
Once we were able to finally find a spot in one of the yurts, we walked into a room full of soaking wet canvas bean bag chairs and blankets strewn across the room.
The pools were more accessible and abundant so we were able to enjoy those areas and they didn't seem as crowded. It was just disappointing that, after trying for over 2 hours, we were unable to enjoy most of the saunas and steam rooms due to overcrowding.
We were able to find a nice table in the eating area and enjoyed the charcuterie board and the most delicious latte. Most people seemed to be waiting in line to buy a drink to carry bring outside. It honestly felt more like a pool bar than a relaxing spa.
It would be a lovely place to visit with less people and maybe we just picked the wrong day. I think some consideration should go into their capacity limits as most of the people we spoke with while there felt that overcrowding was definitely a problem and a deterrent. I don't think I would ever go back on a weekend after that experience.
The change room is unisex, which is a not a preference, but it is managed well. However, I think the experience may have felt better had we not had to wait to find an available locker, change room and shower.
Overall I had a good experience however I think there are some kinks with the spa that need to be worked out. I booked 2 months in advance to get massages at the same time but the spa adjusted 1 massage to a different time without asking a couple weeks after confirming appointments at the same time. The massages have an automatic 20% gratuity which I thought was steep for my below average massage. You are also charged for massages upon booking and despite booking with an RMT a RMT receipt was not provided. Check in at the spa also did not include a lot of details. The receptionist showed us the change room but did not include any details on when and where to go for massage, if there was any paperwork to do prior to massage and if you should be showering post massage prior to going in the pools. The saunas have guided rituals but we were never told about them or when/ where they would be at check in. People get kicked out of the saunas prior to the rituals and start lining up for them 10 minutes before which I felt took away from the serenity/ relaxation. Lastly there are 2 flights of stairs between the change room and spa but the only place to get a new towel is in the change room which makes for a cold damp walk if you miss place your towel.
Restaurant could have been more upscale food menu wise. Staff requires more training as seemed like some were quite new.
Amazing night at Everwild. Best hôtel and spas around Canmore. You need to visit this place especially if you need an unforgettable experience!!! The spa experience is a no brainer if you wish to spend a night recovering. 10/10
Easy to get to. Lots of Parking.
Atmosphere was pleasant. Decorations are comfortable and welcoming. Restaurant was nice. Good food. Good service.
Rooms were clean and comfortable however, we turned the heat off and left the window wide open and it was too hot to sleep comfortably the entire time. The water pressure in the bathrooms wasn't great. Beds were great, pillows great.
Value was great for the two nights as you are provided one day spa access per night per person. Great value there.
Noise level in the rooms were ok, you can hear the highway and people in the hallways walking to and from rooms. The spa does not ensure a no noise policy so there were several groups of people that were loud and disruptive. Not as relaxing as I was hoping for. Busiest time was mid day which were way too busy in my opinion. You can wait in line and wander around aimlessly trying to find an experience or spot to sit. Mornings or late evenings are the time to go.
Service was good. Check in/out was quick and easy. Spa check in was great, friendly, explained the process and facilities well.
There are cameras in the locker area which I was surprised about. I also do not like that it is co-ed change rooms.
This is the second time I have stayed at Everwild to enjoy the Nordic Spa since November. The spa is an amazing experience. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. The only frustration I experienced during both stays was the lack of service with food. On the first stay, I was solo, and after finishing at the spa, I was looking forward to a nice dinner. They only have one restaurant (besides the bistro at the spa), and at 8:00 pm I thought I would have room service, but they don't offer it. I went to the restaurant, and even though 1/2 the tables were empty, they couldn't take me because I didn't have a reservation. I was told I could order takeout, but it would take over 30 minutes. Needless to say, I had to get in my car and scour Canmore for something to eat. Not wanting fast food, I ended up at Safeway. This weekend, my husband I went for something to eat at 11:00 a.m. and they were closed. I don't know how long they were going to be closed for, because all it said in the elevator was that breakfast was until 11:00. I assumed they would be open for their lunch menu, but that wasn't the case. I'm sure they've attracted many more people since the spa opened, and I hope they expand their food options for their patrons. There isn't anything around this hotel that's easy to walk to for more choices.
We loved our experience at Everwild Canmore. We took advantage of their Stay and Soak package. We were delighted to have our fur baby stay with us at the hotel. We ate at Rhythm & Howl twice - the food was delicious and we would definitely recommend the wood fired oven roasted pizzas. The Nordic Spa experience was luxurious and relaxing. You get great views of Rundle and The Three Sisters while you soak. The showers were large and supplied Rocky Mountain Soap Co products, a nice touch. My only feedback is to have more frequent rituals in the steam rooms, and a blowdryer available in the change room (although they may have had one, I just failed to ask..)
A beautifully curated space with every required amenity and great customer service. It was clean, quiet, and easily accessible. We love the inclusion of Rocky Mountain Soap products!
We had a fantastic spa experience, I would probably skip the hotel experience next time, they processed the hotel payment six days before arrival, (no problem, just have never experienced that before). The window unit heating system was very loud in the room, the body wash in the shower and shampoo dispensers were completely empty on arrival, so that wasn't great, because I never packed these products,
A great spot for a relaxing mountain getaway. The Nordic spa was excellent — calm, well laid out, and perfect for unwinding. Rooms were modern, comfortable, and quiet. We also ate at the restaurant and really enjoyed it — good food, nicely presented, and a relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff throughout. Would definitely return.
