Friendly, well run hotel in a convenient location.
Pros:

As we left we commented on how friendly and efficient all the staff had been. This made a big difference to our state. We particularly appreciated the pleasant welcome and speedy check-in when we arrived about 1am after a tiring journey. We were only staying on night and the receptionist gave us a late check-out for free - a nice touch!

Cons:

It’s quite an old building and a bit tired in parts, but clean, comfortable and well-equipped.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good

Cons:

There were still cleaning equipment and rubbish outside some of the rooms when we checked in at 3pm this could cause a tripping Hazard. There were some bits on the floor of the room like it was just a quick hoover

Be careful
Pros:

Breakfast has a decent choice, large TV in the room, bar food isn't too bad, decent selection of beers, the guy behind the bar is spot on. Gym is ok for a hotel

Cons:

Booking two privilege double rooms only to be given two family rooms instead but still paying the same price!! The guy on check in blaming it on booking.com even though I had a confirmation email stating what I'd booked. Just be careful you get the room you actually booked and paid for! The rooms are quite dated

Pros:

It was a mediocre spread and some food were not even hot

Breakfast, broken toilet seat in room, pungent smell when entered the room - even after complaining there was no action taken

Spotlessly clean, good food and the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Pros:

There was so much choice for breakfast, from full cooked breakfast to fresh fruit, yogurt or cereals. There was also fruit juices or tea and coffee,so, there really was something for everyone. You could also request something other than what was on offer.

Cons:

I honestly couldn't think of anything I didn't like.
