De ligging en het personeel was super vriendelijk
De hygiëne in de badkamer kon iets beter
Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfast, cosy room & lovely pool.
WiFi was not great.
Location good, staff helpful and friendly
Room didn't meet expectations far too small and noisy.
The location was very convenient for the event we were attending (a Wedding etc in Chester). The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety (both hot & cold)to choose from. Gym equipment was also good and up-to-date.
Reception staff were also very helpful, plus free parking was a bonus!
We felt the whole hotel was very dated and needed refurbishing in the rooms; public areas; pool and spa. Tried going in the pool, but it was full of young children having lessons, which made the area very restricted & noisy. Changing rooms were also rather grimy, with most of the lock broken on the lockers. It was a disappointing experience!
Very friendly staff, breakfast was fabulous, rooms very comfortable
We were told the restaurant stopped serving food at 8.30 and the bar closed at 9.30, so we headed into town instead, on our return the bar was still serving at 10.30 so we were obviously given incorrect information.
The night we stayed was during a heatwave, the room had no airconditioning and the heating WAS ON!! It made the room unbearable and we couldn't sleep and ended up checking out at 6am to go home. When we raised this with the reception (who didn't even ask how our stay was) they refused to believe the heating was on even though I asked them to come to the room and check for themselves (which they wouldn't). The whole service was terrible, and the hotel looks dated and run down.
Tolles Hotel. Gutes Essen. Personal sehr nett. Tolle Räume.
Alles war gut.
The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. Kev and Katy were brilliant.
When booking, I asked for no stairs as I have arthritis in my knees. They put us in a room with two flights of stairs and no lifts. The food at night was terrible. I had a platter with my hubby; the food was burned and greasy. Very disappointed.
I stayed at your hotel yesterday and the entire check in experience was completely unacceptable. I would begin to say that I arrived and the person on reception couldn’t even find my booking.
5 minutes later I was given my room key and I went to the room. This was on the upstairs and opposite side of the hotel so a 5 minute walk. I arrived at 248, it was abandoned and in disarray. Poo stains in the toilet, single bed unmade like someone was sleeping in it and no TV on the wall. There was a terrible smell.
I went downstairs and asked for a manager, there was a man in a suit who said “ I can be”, I shown him a picture and he stood there blank with no response. I explained it all and he asked for the room key. No apology or anything.
I was given another key 5 minutes later to room 246. I walked all the way to the room, unlocked the door, and walked in on a guy in my room half naked watching TV! This was completely unacceptable. I had to apologise to the guy I just walked in on and go back to reception for a second time! At this point it was 9PM and I was being completely messed about. Walking in on another guest should never happen.
I stayed here before with no issue but this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I’m hoping you will make this right as I am still gobsmacked. I paid full rate for a room to get this experience.
I received a drink voucher but at the bar he said I could only get a soft drink or wine! This was not fair especially after what happened which I explained. He pointed to the fine print and wouldn’t make an exception.
Eventually I was given room 234. I walked in and it was boiling hot and the TV wasn’t loading but I gave up. I went to bed and wanted to leave ASAP.
Location is great. Really good value for money
Breakfast wasn’t up to usual Mercury standard
