We have been choosing to stay at Electra for more the 6-7 years when in Thessaloniki. We love the location, the views, the comfortable rooms and the breakfast at the rooftop.
This time we were accommodated in a small room overlooking the backyard. I admit it was my fault, I didn't pay enough attention while making the booking. We immediately asked for an upgrade (paid, of course), but we were told that it was not possible. Strange, because the restaurant was not that crowded for breakfast, but anyway I couldn't know if the hotel was really fully booked or not. We decided to leave the hotel on Saturday despite the fact that the two nights were prepaid, moved to another hotel and the lady at Reception didn't even ask what was the reason to leave a day earlier. That's enough for the level of service. I realize that we are not important clients and it is good to know that there are other customers that will continue visiting Electra, while we discovered other lovely 5-star hotels in Thessaloniki to accommodate us and meet our expectations from now on.
