Nothing !!
Decore through out the hotel tired and poor condition, chair in room had stains on it, window Saftey devices broken (prob a good thing based on WX as could fully open windows) staff enter room in day and closed windows and opened curtains in 34 degrees ! Was given a twin room when a double room was booked. The carpets in the lounge area were disgustingly dirty, and so it went on !!!
Location was good
I checked in very late (00.45 I think) I was given my key card and proceeded to my room. Unpacked and ready for bed as I had an 07.00 start. 10 mins in I get I call from reception to say I’ve been allocated the wrong room and could I repack and return to reception (met on 1st floor) to get my new key card. Then had to walk right round the other side of the hotel to find my room.
Comfortable bed and nice outlook from room. Good location. Lovely gardens.
Handy location
No aircon in the rooms, made for a very uncomfortable stay. The hotel looks tired and in need of modernisation. Pool area needs looking at, changing rooms and pool just tired.
Convenient for the M20 on our way back from a Folkstone Channel crossing. The hotel had a very good breakfast with a good selection on offer. The grounds were well tended which made for entertaining dining over breakfast watching the wild life in residence on the hotel grounds.
Just three plug sockets in the room and one of those was for the mini fridge. The other two were on the opposite side of the room to the bed. As we were staying during the heat wave of June 2026 one of the sockets was being permanently used by the tower fan supplied by the hotel in a room without air-conditioning. The public areas did feel a little cooler than the room.
The bed was comfortable
The place is badly in need of complete refurbishment. All of the carpets and furniture were filthy or badly stained. There were events being held in the hotel which were noisy until 1am despite being told that the events would finish by 10pm
The location was nice
There was 3 separate events on in the same day and wasn’t given any notice so it was very noisy and busy. Staff were rude and unhelpful.
Food was good, staff were great.
Really outdated and not worth the money. Needs money spent on it and aircon.
Helpful reception staff
Good sized car park
Room was too hot.
The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff at breakfast were very nice and efficient. It was better than sleeping in a tent on a rainy night
The whole hotel was very tired and run down, the carpet in the restaurant was threadbare in places. The room was very warm, i was not expecting anything like air conditioning but there was no airflow even with the windows open, it was a reasonable temperature for the UK but i live where it is much hotter in summer and rooms are much cooler. The water in the bathroom was so hot you could scold yourself on it, very unnecessary, dangerous and a complete waste of energy. The room was passable just rather strangely laid out not making the best use of the space. For some reason there was a gap at the bottom of the door into the room that was so wide not only could i put my hand through you can pass things under, very odd. No USB charging points, no plugs by the bed only half way up the opposite wall. The breakfast was ok but the drinks out of the coffee machine were dire, i tried 3 or 4 and all remained, un drunk apart from an initial sipp. The car park is free but there is some nonsense where you have to register on an app, after 14 hours in the car i was not very interested in this and had to ask the reception staff to complete this for me which i am hoping that they did. The restaurant staff at breakfast were very nice and efficient, the reception staff seemed indiffernt to me asking why the coffee was undrinkable and why there was a very large gap under the door to my room. This is just about functioning as a hotel, it was not very clean and i would find it hard to recommend, it did have very nice grounds as long as you dont look at the abandoned tennis courts.
De hygiëne, kamer en badkamer waren erg schoon.
Parkeergelegenheid was prima.
the hotel is poorly laid out and difficult to get to my room. came across as hotel from the 80'S
2 separate beds not stable, they have wheels 4stars it’s too much,we had for the shower a little towels, beds roling when you turn in the bed from side to side…
Location
Charging extra for slightly earlier check in. No hot water. Long wait at bar
