Clean and tidy
Nothing
I thought the staff i had dealings with were very helpful. The second room i was given was much better than the first room. Breakfast is superb nothing too much trouble really sets you up for the day!
Before arriving I spoke to a very unpleasant man, I sent an email to that effect hoping for some sort of reply, no nothing. The first room i was given was extremely hot, the curtains were completely ripped from top to bottom and room did not looked as if it had been serviced. Was moved the next day to a much better location/room no complaints!
Nothing
It was so filthy! Stains all over the curtains and floors, holes all over the carpet, broken shower, holes in the bedsheets
Good facilities, friendly staff and value for money
It’s a tad dated and there are some big potholes in the drive
Breakfast was really good. Like, actually good not just the usual sad buffet situation you sometimes get where everything’s been sitting out since 6am. Worth getting up for.
The location was great too.
Now the rooms. Good size
proper space view a nice from the window but did have upgraded rooms from booking.com. So don’t know what the other are like. to actually move around, unpack, feel like a human being rather than living out of a suitcase wedged between the bed and the wall.
Free parking.
Wouldn’t rush back, honestly.
Let’s start with the noise and yeah, it was a lot. You could hear basically everything from the neighbouring rooms. Every footstep, every conversation. Not ideal when you’re trying to sleep. The walls must be paper thin, which for a hotel is… kind of a fundamental problem, right?
Then there’s the service charge. Tacked onto the bill for eating at the hotel restaurant. Now look, I get that some places do this but it’s not something we’ve encountered at other hotels we’ve stayed at, and it’d be nice if it was at least flagged upfront rather than just… appearing. A small thing maybe, but it left a bit of a sour taste.
The rooms themselves feel really dated. Nothing was broken or dirty, to be fair, but it’s the kind of place that clearly hasn’t had a proper refresh in a while. It’s overdue.
Customer service was not the greatest
Maybe off day.
accessibility was the not great.
.
hotel location suits, but have used much more in the past
the hotel is looking tired, particularly the rooms.
could be a brilliant hotel given its position
staff could do with some training re customers
Didn't even stay there left and got a refund
All over it changed room almost there 3 times
The room was nice. Breakfast was very nice.
The spa was not nice. Needs a revamp.
Breakfast was good, the staff were lovely
Walls were very thin and you can hear every conversation that everyone is having in all rooms around you. Lights over the bed flickered and switches didn’t work, wasn’t very clean, incredibly warn down, spa facilities were largely broken or weren’t up to a good standard. Floor Gap into the room was large so noise and light came in from the hallway, TV in the room didn’t work either. No signal in the area so difficult to receive calls.
The staff were helpful and accommodating
It is definitely not 4star the hotel I’d falling apart, swimming ceiling fall down, needs complete renovation. Rooms are average and expensive
Outdated rooms
The room was cold
Lots of condensation on windows
Close to motorway & 25 mins from channel tunnel. Helpful pleasant staff, dog friendly, large grounds, plenty of car parking. Great breakfast.
No PowerPoints or usb’s at bedsides.
Nothing
Very dirty, poor hygiene
Room was clean and reception staff where really friendly
Restaurant staff where not very attractive , didn’t think the set menu was value for money
