Was ok for money but would rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere nicer, cleaner and more up to date
Pros:

Set in lovely grounds

Cons:

Very tired looking. Carpets looked dirty. Covers on sofas were disgraceful. Felt dirty. Room boiling hot, no air con. Corridors carpet and doors old and tired looking. Room basic. Bed good and slept well apart from being soooi hot.

Pros:

Spa was nice and staff lovely. Grounds beautiful.

Cons:

No air con in room and it was a hot day and not so very uncomfortable. Provided with a fan but had to keep putting on as on a timer.

Pros:

Clean hotel in lovely grounds. Great breakfast and friendly staff

Cons:

Unfortunately it was a heatwave the day we visited, 30°+. There was no aircon and the fan was ineffective. Recognising this temp is highly unusual, it will probably be ok in normal weather conditions.

Pros:

I have stayed here a few times for work. Lovely staff working at reception, restaraunt and spa alike. I like the bar and restaraunt, which have big windows with a nice view or outdoor seating, and a good selection of draught beers. I have also worked in the restaraunt area during the day. There used to be a better selection of vegetarian food but otherwise good choice of simple food, small plates and sharers. Typical breakfast you'd expect in hotel.
Large rooms, with big TV, large comfortable beds and rooms are clean, just a bit dated.
Easy access from the motorway and not too noisy.

Cons:

Very disappointed that the ladies sauna wasn't functioning. Food menu has been reduced since I last stayed.

Nice comfortable stay but desperately needs a bathroom makeover
Pros:

Breakfast was good although I thought that the dinner wasn’t as good as on previous visits for example no healthy fish option.
Room was a bit dated especially bathroom with a tatty bath and an annoying shower curtain. Definitely needs a more modern overhaul.
Staff were excellent as always with a lovely friendly atmosphere. The setting is beautiful and I love the gym and pool

Cons:

See above

We will go again but will opt for a larger room.
Pros:

Very good location. Staff helpful and friendly.
Lovely view from bar and dining room.

Cons:

Our room was very cramped with very little storage space and no drawers.
The food for the evening meal was limited to bar type food, with very little choice for non meat eaters.

Ok for short stay
Pros:

Grounds, breakfast, pool

Cons:

Lack of air conditioning & minimal opening windows. Receptionist told us we couldn't access the gym before checking in as we needed our room card but could charge us £10 for early check in! Next day we found out that we could have accessed the gym by giving just our room number...
