Important information:

Please note that, in the case of cash payments, guests may pay in Peruvian soles or in US dollars (according to the property’s exchange rate on the day of payment).

In accordance with local tax regulations, Peruvian citizens (and foreign guests staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional 18% tax. To be exempt from this additional charge (IGV), guests must present a copy of their immigration card and passport. Both documents are required to qualify for the exemption. If either document is not presented, the corresponding tax must be paid.

Foreign guests traveling for business who request a printed invoice must also pay this additional 18%, regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This amount is not automatically included in the total reservation cost.

Children:

Children aged 4 to 11 stay free of charge when sharing a bed with one or two adults; they are only required to pay for breakfast.

Pets:

Guests may stay with their dog (pet), provided they comply with the admission policies. An additional fee of USD 38 per pet per night applies (taxes not included). Only one pet per room is allowed. Reservations must be requested at least 2 days in advance.

Only pets weighing up to 18 kg are permitted. At check-in, guests must present certificates issued by a licensed veterinarian (or competent authority) confirming that the pet has been vaccinated and dewormed within the last 6 months.

In accordance with Peruvian law, potentially dangerous breeds such as American Pitbull, Dogo, Rottweiler, Doberman, among others, are not allowed. Only dogs are permitted, and food and water bowls are available on loan.

For guide dogs, guests must present a certificate issued by CONADIS (or the relevant authority) confirming the need for assistance. If this certification is not provided, the corresponding pet fee will apply.

Pets may not be left alone in the room.

Great stay, but some improvements needed
Pros:

Lots of green around the hotel and worth getting a garden view room.

Breakfast was excellent.
Staff were very attentive and friendly, offering help where they could.

Great facilities overall. It is not right in the center but we knew that and made that choice.

One of the porters was amazing ( cannot remember his name). We had to get a doctor, which reception helped with and he was helping with language, sorting taxi and just being very friendly.

Cons:

The rooms do not have a kettle. Instead they have a nespresso machine and people are told to use that without a pod for hot water.

They provide single use throwaway plastic cups in the rooms instead of standard cups, which is a major dissapointment.

For a 5 star hotel this is a bit of a letdown

Extremely Satisfied
Pros:

Wonderful hotel, nestled nicely next to a park that creates a buffer to the bustling of the city. Excellent location as it is a very short walk to the historic areas. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Service was excellent. I can’t remember the last time a staff member went so far above and beyond as did Edwin, who knew my family by name and made sure we were taken care of with considerable haste. I wish I had someone like Edwin at every hotel I stayed at. As for housekeeping, I can’t remember a more immaculate room than what Bryan did for us. I have never seen such attention to detail and it was nothing short of excellent.

I believe Arequipa is the best city in Peru. Worth a longer stay, and there isn’t a better place to do it than the Wyndham Costa del Sol.

Fantastisch. Het hotel heeft een heerlijk zwembad. We kwamen rond 11.30 am aan. Inchecken is officieel maar we mochten al wel van de faciliteiten gebruik maken. Echt heel fijn.

Cons:

Er was iets kapot aan de luchtbehandeling. Toen we deze op de kamer aanzetten, kwam daar een nare lucht vanaf. Gelukkig, heeft het personeel het goed opgelost. We kregen een andere kamer. Deze kamer was voorzien van een eigen airconditioning. Goed opgelost.

Friendliest staff ever!
Pros:

The food is delicious, but the staff makes everything even better. Oscar, Nicola’s, Kenia, and Ana Lucia make you feel right at home. Whether you’re eating inside, or out by the pool watching the alpacas run, you can’t find better staff

Peaceful stay with wonderful staff
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at Costa del Sol. The hotel is located in a quiet area surrounded by parks, and it’s a pleasant short walk to the historical center (about 10–15 minutes depending on where you go). The room we reserved was spacious and beautifully designed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was of great quality.

Cons:

The coffee quality could be further improved, especially considering that Peru produces such excellent coffee :)
