A pochi passi dalla movida di paceville e poco distante dalla bellissima Valletta.

Das Hotel „The Diplomat“ befindet sich in einer sehr guten Lage. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Darüber hinaus war das Frühstück jeden Tag abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Das Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Posizione davanti al mare, lungo la passeggiata. Colazione internazionale abbondante, con diverse soluzioni “calde”. Un ringraziamento ad Alessandra per il supporto fornito

Cons:

Avevamo prenotato un camera vista mare, richiedendo 2 letti singoli e un piano alto. Ci viene confermata la disponibilità e la presa in carico della richiesta. Al check in, ci fanno saldare la prenotazione per intero e ci assegnano la camera senza comunicare alcunché. Scopriamo, poi, che la camera non solo si trova al secondo piano ma che non ha vista mare. Eccepiamo il punto in Reception e ci comunicano che non avevano più camere disponibili. Grazie all’intervento di Alessandra, ci viene offerto un aperitivo e il giorno dopo ci viene assegnata una camera con vista (al 1° piano - piuttosto che niente), con un rimborso totale di 25€ sulla prima notte.
Sebbene la situazione sia stata parzialmente sanata a valle delle rimostranze fatte, non abbiamo in alcun modo apprezzato l’approccio poco professionale avuto dalla struttura, la quale ha chiaramente preferito allocare le camere più costose su soggiorni più lunghi. E se questo elemento può essere, di per sé, compreso e qualificato come strategia commerciale, non lo è il lasciare le camere comunque prenotabili, nè il non informare il cliente (per tempo, affinché possa decidere cosa fare della prenotazione), neppure al check in. Questo atteggiamento risulta complessivamente poco trasparente e non rispettoso del cliente.

Nel complesso la struttura avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata: la terrazza ha del potenziale non sfruttato, non vi è troppa cura del dettaglio (es. livello di pulizia/manutenzione tende, pulizia vetri, etc). La sala colazione beneficerebbe di un sistema di areazione migliore, considerato che si trova al -1 e ha un numero di coperti considerevole.

Una buen opción de alojamiento
Pros:

El hotel está muy bien. Personal amable, especialmente el personal del desayuno. Buen buffet de desayuno. Habitación amplia y limpia, con nevera y aire acondicionado. Detalle de bienvenida con un par de botellas de agua y diversas golosinas y galletas de chocolate y algunos amenities como albornoces. Todos los días hacen limpieza y cambian las toallas y también las copas (si las usaste). A 3 minutos andando está la parada del autobús del aeropuerto (autobús TD3 parada Torri). A 5 minutos andando tienes un supermercado que está abierto de 6 de la mañana hasta medianoche. El hotel está situado justo delante del paseo marítimo y cerca hay un restaurante a 3 minutos andando (necesitas coche o coger el bus que en 5-10 minutos te deja en la zona del puerto de Sliema o en Saint Julian donde hay multitud de restaurantes). La piscina está bien y te ayudará refrescarte (el calor en verano en Malta roza lo insoportable) con un amplio horario y algunas noches suele haber música en directo (también hay un bar por si te apetece una copa). También hay gimnasio y jacuzzi que no usamos, pero que tenían muy buena pinta. Al lado de la zona de recepción hay una pequeña cafetería por si te apetece un sandwich o una copa. Tienes dos paradas de autobús muy cerca (3 y 5 minutos andando) para poder desplazarte a otras zonas de Malta.

Cons:

Tiene una pequeña terraza pero le falta unas pinzas o un tendedero donde dejar los bañadores y las toallas a secar.
Los enchufes son de tipo inglés, con lo cual tienes que llevarte un adaptador.

Decent hotel with perfect location and above average breakfast. Beach is across the street, grocery stores whithin 5 min walking distance. There's an outside pool just on top of the building with an awesome sea view bar next door. Maybe it's not to cheapest hotel for what it offers, but remember, you're on a island, full summer season and with a perfect location.

Cons:

It has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but if you book through booking.com with free airport taxi to the hotel, be sure to add your flight number in time, otherwise booking will cancel this service (with a laughable argument, as 24 hours before in booking's understanding is actually more than 48)

La posizione è super centrale fronte mare, la colazione ottima Abbondante e Intercontinentale, appena sotto l'hotel. C'è la fermata del bus comodissimo per spostarsi ovunque

Solo due pecche: abbiamo scelto la. Camera frontemare, la visuale era pazzesca bellissima solo che non è dotata di un balconcino.. Ci sono delle vetrate con una ringhiera appena appena sporgente (ho un 35 di piede e non stava nella sporgenza x intenderci) il che risulta molto scomodo anche solo per mettere ad asciugare le cose dopo il mare. Altra pecca è l'impianto d'aria condizionata molto ma molto rumoroso in camera durante la notte
