Other than the overcharge and rude front desk person, the stay was great.
Pros:

Nice, clean and safe.

Cons:

Front desk person was not very welcoming from the beginning. Buzzing me in: you are required to pick up the phone and state why you’re here. I told her I was checking in and she didn’t say anything, just hung up. She then told me my booking.com payment didn’t work and asked for another card, which I gave her. Only to find that my card and my booking.com payment were BOTH charged.

Pros:

The suite was large enough for 5 people and the cleaning services was excellent and very friendly staff

Cons:

Charge for parking is not necessary to add on to the already a high price for staying over few days and charging for small complimentary items like water bottles inside the rooms
Also the breakfast was not too impressive, same menu every day with no changes

Pros:

Staff was friendly and room was clean and presentable. The view was good and breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

One of the elevators did not work and when I asked for more toilet paper it took like 15 to 20 minutes for staff to bring it up to my room.

Facility one star, staff five stars - what a shame!
Pros:

Managers and housekeeping staff were extremely helpful and tried to make up for the tired and outdated facilities.

Cons:

Old facility, has an 80-s motel feel, needs an overhaul and good interior upkeep.
Only one working elevator. The gym is outdated and has an awful odor.
Grounds and pool area could be improved with some landscaping work and regular cleaning.
Hallways need daily vacuuming.
Rooms need an upgrade and pant/tiling jobs in the bathrooms. Breakfast / reception area is run down.

Poorly managed hotel, also believe getting a room thru a third party gets you less priorty.
Pros:

Breakfast was cold, coffee urn was empty at 8:45 am.

Cons:

My room was not ready for me at 3:30 pm, had to wait until 4:10 pm to get my room 616. The clerk thought it was funny as showed by frustration having to wait on them to check with the cleaning staff to confirm the room was ready. We were in Dallas for a family member funeral, and a Dallas family member referenced this hotel for out of city family members to stay at. My brother in law was still waiting at 5:30 pm to get his room., and he was given a large suite and he was not able to take a shower because it was broken. In addition only one of two elevators was working, causing a delay in going up and down from the 6th floor. The female clerk could care less, just as I arrive another guest was also flustrated because he couldn't get his room. Being hispanic and speaking to a house keeper, the hotel was having trouble keeping sufficient staff to clean rooms, my quest is the hotel is hiring illegal immigrants and they are afraid to show up in fear of being deported. The female staff member managing the breakfast bar was talking to another hispanic guest and she stated she was from Durango Mexico.
