楽友協会まで徒歩圏内で、地下鉄駅の目の前でロケーション最高。部屋も8階だったので眺めが良かった。朝食は種類が多く、どれも美味しかった。白米、お味噌汁、焼きそば、漬物などもあった。お風呂場にバスタブもあり旅の疲れも癒せた。
特にないが、強いて言えば、宿泊料金はお高め。でもこのグレードのホテルならこのぐらいが相場なのかな。

The hotel is well kept but definitely looks old and going back to the 80s. It's location is fantastic, the service is good, albeit distant and cold once you have moved away from reception.
I was upgraded to a junior suite on the intercontinenthal club floor, 11th, the lounge is at 12th. Some rooms offer very nice view on Vienna, de l'homme looked clean, but very dated, the construction is not sound proof and at night you can hear lifts and plumbing, it's weird for such a 5 stars, show how old is its construction and haven't been properly renovated ever since, I have been using this hotel in Vienna since 2016, and remain surprised they haven't renovated it, it was already looking "old" then.
Upgraded to 1150, a corner Jr Suite, it had separate walk in closet, very large bathroom with 3 separate parts (shower/ toilets and bidet / main bathroom) the bed room was very large, 25sqm, with sofa, desk, large comfy bed, but no plugs by the bed lampa to charge your phone, a sign that the hotel design goes back to the 80s.
In the room, despite being on a corner, you can hear the lifts machineries, and other noises, very uncomfortable.
The lounge on the 12th floor is nice, offers diner and breakfast, and nice 180 degree views on the city, service is very distant, actually, no service at all during meals, they don't catter to you, come to your table, service is closer to a crowne plaza lounge, than a real IC Club lounge.
The gym is big but old too. If price is right it is a well located hotel, but doesn't compare at all with the more modern 5 stars next to it. Here it is more a very good 4.5 stars, a "bit" dated but it will gives you a Vienna flair of the 80s.

Für meinen Zweck das Beste Hotel.
I stayed here while working remotely, and the WiFi made it nearly impossible. The connection dropped randomly multiple times a day, often right in the middle of time sensitive tasks. My work depends on a stable, uninterrupted connection, and these random disconnections directly cost me money (hundreds of dollars) and caused serious problems I couldn’t undo. If you need reliable internet for anything important, this is not the place.
The soundproofing is just as bad. There’s no sound blocking on the doors at all. I could hear every conversation, footstep, and door slam in the hallway as if it were happening inside my room. Noise comes straight through the walls too. Between the internet cutting out during the day and the noise keeping me up at night, I got neither work nor rest out of this stay.
I’d expect basics like working WiFi and a quiet room from any hotel. This one delivered neither and old rooms.
Das Intercontinental ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber immer noch gut. Das Frühstück ist außergewöhnlich, die Bar legendär.

Classy hotel maintained nicely, the foyer bar is particularly stylish. Front desk & concierge staff are helpful & friendly.
Rooms are slightly smaller than expected, view from back facing rooms is not attractive. Location is a little far from main entertainment & shopping areas for walk.
