Старенький отель, но во Владикавказе других приличных нет
Отель просто замечательный. Отличная атмосфера, прекрасный персонал, во время завтрака пианист велиуолепно исполняет классические произведения на рояле.
Stayed for business 2 times. Location is right in the center if the towns, there are places to eat in the vicinity.
The rooms are spacious and well cleaned. Minibar is available. During the first stay maids brought the tea kettle. It would great to have it in room without additional request.
Personell is friendly, well trained and problem solving.
Breakfast is good with some caucasion concoctions and seasoned fruits, watermelons were really juicy.
The hotel is probably the best in Vladikavkaz.
Loved everything about it, safe and secured, awesome rooms, professional and friendly, highly recommend
It’s so beautiful and peaceful, easy access, grate breakfast, very clean
Нам отель понравился. В номерах чисто. Расположение отличное, рядом парк, трамвайная остановка. Завтраки приличные. Гель для душа, шампунь, зубная паста, зубная щётка, тапочки, халаты - всё дают.
I have traveled extensively in Russia over the last few years including some very remote corners and nowhere has there been a hotel with worse wifi. It hardly ever worked on my computer and never on my phone in the bedroom but could be convinced to work on the computer in the hallway outside - sometimes.
That aside the Aleksandrovski is full of overblown empire gilt. My room was big and had an enormous comfortable bed with multiple cushions. There were also 2 arm chairs, a coffee table, desk and luggage stand. The desk had convenient power outlets and tea making equipment but coffee sachets were not replaced once used. The wardrobe contained a safe and coat hangers of the type that can't be removed from the bar intact in case you steal them. Everything was painted white and gilded on the pointy bits. The curtains could be drawn and opened remotely. There was also a hotel umbrella hanging near the entrance which was a nice touch.
The bathroom was large with separate bath and shower cubicle. The latter was a bit cramped which I didn't mind and had fluctuating water temperature which I did. Cold shower followed by scalding is not a good way to start and evening.
The room was very cold all the time. The temperature could be adjusted up at the A/C panel but it didn't seem to result in an actual temperature change. Fortunately there was a cosy duvet on the bed.
The breakfast buffet was overwhelmed by a huge tour party on the first morning who swept up most of the food which was not replenished. They weren't taking excess amounts, there just wasn't enough to go around. They were gone by the second morning and there was ample food for all remaining guests with a good range of selections.
Location is this hotel's prime asset. It is located in the center of the city within walking distance of the main attractions and downtown restaurants and shops. There is also a very helpful receptionist who speaks a little English and who also seemed to double as a bar person sometimes.
This hotel did not suit me because of the wifi "problem" but may be suitable for those who like the central location and the gilt.
A nice hotel in the very center of Vladikavkaz. The hotel is big with the summer terrace. As to this region it is really unexpectedly good. But generally it is not so 4 star as one would expect in for example Europe.
The service is unprofessional and amateur. But you can tolerate that cause truly it is a cool option for the city.
The meals are OK, specially Caucus cuisine.
Excellent location in the center of Vladikavkaz on a quiet pedestrian road (although with a noisy tramway in the middle...).
The rooms are very comfortable and clean, while the restraurant is not bad at all. Service is a bit soviet but basically friendly and professional.
This seems to be absolutely the best place when in Vladikavkaz.
maybe the best place to stay on weekend short trip to Vladikavkaz. food and rooms are in great quality, friendly and very polite people all around, strongly recommendation for visit and stay. Located in historical center with and surrounded by small and cozy coffee shops and cafeterias
Don't know why this hotel is listed under B&B. This is the newest, best, most luxurious and most expensive grand hotel in Vladikavkaz. Great location right in the pedestrian main street with its many cafes and an almost mediterranean feel to it. Vladikavkaz is the most pleasant city in Russia IMO. Would have given 5 stars if the service in the restaurant wasn't so weak (no Coke or Diet Coke). At 200€ it is also relatively expensive.
